Scenic View of Course Photo submitted by u000005094963 on 02/14/2013
Very good value
The course, fairways and greens, are in very good condition. Only problem is with the bunkers which are in poor condition - not maintained. Stay out of the bunkers, and you will have a great experience.
Turned out better than I thought
With my wife as a ride-along we headed for the 1st tee and the starter said "would you rather play the Resort course?" We were only a single so he could make the offer, I jumped on it. Course was in very decent shape. The greens looked a bit scabby but they held a nice line and ran about 10-11. Around the 5th hole we joined the twosome from behind us and the guys were a lot of fun. Two days later I played the Desert Springs Palm course for $178 and it was a far better deal.
Very good value
Course in very good condition except for bunkers which are not being maintained well. Still a very good value for the Palm Springs area, just stay out of the bunkers. Ha!
Very good value
Course is in very good condition except for the bunkers which are in very poor condition. Pace of play was very good. Overall very good value for the Palm Springs area
Nice course but greens were a bit rough
Bag drop off was very poor and reception at the course poor. Waited in Pro shop far too long to register. Had to flag someone down to advise our bags were sitting in drop off area. Not great customer service to start the day. Once we got on the course it was fine but green conditions weren’t great
Very good value
The course was in very good condition. Pace of play was quite good. It was rather windy and cold, but still a very good value for the Palm Springs area.
Fast greens
Very pretty and playable course. Only complaint was that the greens are rock hard trampolines. I understand they replaced them and they’ll remain hard for another year or so until they can punch them.
Very well kept
The course was Phenomenal played like a Chapion chip course very well maintained... Love it!!
A good golf value in Palm Springs
The Tagquitz Creek Legends is a good golf value in Palm Springs. The course is in good condition and pace of play very good.
Definitely a must play
Course was in perfect shape. Every hole is worth a picture. Memorable round.
Good Value
Course in good shape. Priced reasonably for the Palm Springs area
Great, BUT!
Wow, what a lovely place to play golf. This had the potential to be a top experience for me, but it was not due to issues somewhat outside of the course's control.
The good: This is a fantastically beautiful place! Perfect conditions, lovely views, nice people—I would normally absolutely go again.
The bad: As a single, I got paired with three players. Two were locals who only paid $35 to play compared to my $215! Ouch. The fourth was a visitor as well. The locals showed up late and we got held back waiting on them - that should not be allowed and for $35 bucks, they probably did not think the same as me. All three were slow. Two because they were playing from the back and hitting balls all over creation, and the guest was just SLOW. I filmed him on a 60-yard wedge shot. From the club section to hitting the ball (he airmailed the green BTW), it took him a minute and 20 seconds to hit the shot. Think Sergio from several years back.
We were asked by the Ranger to speed up three times before the 8th hole with every justification. After hitting my tee shot on 10, I told them I had to get the car back to the rest of my party at hotel and was going to jump ahead. I skipped 11 and 12, which put me off and played multiple balls the rest of the way. The ranger was nice enough not to be put off that I left my group as some can be. He said he would have done the same as he could see I was trying to push them from the 2nd hole on. We played the front in 2:40 and the group in front of us probably did it in 1:40! I thought about asking for a rain check as it ruined my chance to enjoy the place.
What does the Golf World think about my asking these folks to comp me a round if I am ever back here? Is that reasonable? I played most of the course, but I had zero enjoyment for the first 3 hours.
