2 Birdies and a 92
Awesome course. I birdied the first hole and ninth hole and was lucky to make par on any of the others. Definitely played better than my first time though.
Mid-Week Tourneys
Don't ever play here mid-week twilight with a tourney going on... It took us 6 hours to finish and we tee'd off at 1:20pm... Unbelievable!!! Not one Marshall out there asking people to keep up the pace of play... I expected more from a quality course like this.
Interesting design, great staff
The amount of land this course has is amazing. The track has some great holes, some holes that made you scratch your head and a ton of elevation changes. There is one section of the course (back 9) where the game becomes kind of a joke. There are a couple of blind tee shots that, with the amount of land, make no sense in being there.
The condition of the course was great, greens were very soft, fairways were cut well and tee boxes were flat.
My main issue with the course was the greens. They were in great condition and rolled well, but the design and undulation were kind of a gimmick. The mounds on the greens were far from smooth.. it was like hitting up 5 foot parking curbs.
The staff was amazing... the best part of the experience
Beautiful Course with Some Difficult Holes
I love this course. It is the third time I have played it now and every time I enjoy it. The back nine is more difficult and tricky while the front 9 is easier to excel on. I shot 3 over on the front and was brutalized by the back to shoot in the mid 80s. The course and tee boxes have always been in pristine condition which is a big deal for me on having a level tee box for those longer shots.
worth the cost
Great conditions.... very challenging........ must hit targets to score well...... worst part was having to cary clubs long way back to car after returning cart!! ..... no carts allowed in lot. Great course!!!!
Hills and More Hills
Nicely laid out course with wide fairways and undulating greens. The only drawback is there were a lot of blind shots off the tee. The greens were nice and fast, typical for the SOCAL "sponges". Played the whites (around 6,000 yards) which would be quite short by any standard, however the hilly terrain and windy conditions made it challenging. Rental clubs were excellent, Taylor Made woods and irons. Got a discounted price through Golfnow, $100 on a holiday weekend, which is very reasonable. Definitely not a course for walkers.....
Very nice scenery and views
Great course and very good test of golf!
Would play it again if I ever vacation around here again.
Great course.
Little pricy but in my opinion I think it is worth it. Condition of course is always great and has challanging greens. Tough back nine.
Fun Course and Challenging
Great course, the twilight weekday rate was a good rate (I don't think the course is worth $100+, even though it's a great course).
The elevated tee boxes and elevation changes were great and made you think about shots.
The greens were fast and there weren't a lot of flat putts, adding to the challenge.
Overall, a great course and I will be back.
Good track
Challenging for low handicappers and wide fairways with multiple tees for high handicappers. Great green conditions. Elevation changes make club selection important.
Good Time
Had a great time. Course in great condition, staff was friendly and helpful. A couple of fairways were roped off, don't know why nor did the marshall. Will play again when back in state.

Very nice course
Very nice course and good pace of play. Staff was friendly and helpful. Greens are well maintained. Back 9 has lots of challenges. If you drive straight you should do well.

Slow again
Slow again. The course allowed BEGINNER hacks to play 7 person best ball. The thing is the group did not understand best ball. They stood and watched the others in their group hit, while we waited. The marshal said, what can you do, we will try and hurry them....This is an advanced course. No place for this type of group. Also the pin placements were (per usual) ridiculous and unfair. Not happy with this round overall
Great course
Tuff if you haven't played before. Tight fairways loud in the AM due to flights taking off. Our cart ran out of power after 15 holes! Not fun because this is not walking course.
Hi Sammika2,
I apologize for your cart running out of power. I know how frustrating that can be. I hope we were able to get you squared away with another cart. I'm glad, however, that you took the time to write about your experience. Thanks for the 4 stars! I hope you come back again soon!

Nice Track
Enjoyable and challenging but not too difficult for an intermediate players, Long enough for big hitters. Great staff. Very nice facilities.

First Time at Crossing
Overall experience was good. With the various elevation changes, even while using the GPS it was difficult determining the correct clubs. Tough course for a first timer.
Fred7028126,
Thank you for giving us 4 stars! Since you've played one time through, hopefully next time it's easier to judge distances. Have a nice day!

Only live once...
For Golfers of all skill level that enjoy playing, this is a great way to spend 4 or 5 hours... Play is not necessarily slow, the course is difficult...I loved the view and on some holes you can see the Ocean. Golfnow made it affordable and I enjoyed my day!

Riding The Hills
This is a sprawling facility. I believe they told us it covers 422 acres and has 7 miles of cart paths. The elevation changes present quite a challenge and there are some forced carries to handle. The course was in great condition. Friendly and accommodating staff made the trip to this course a pleasure. Good thing the carts have automatic braking installed. There are plenty of hills to park your cart to take your next shot. Also have a number of false fronts on greens to add to the approach shot woes. Made it tough, but not impossible, for us average golfers. It was a fun course to play.
jimmyg255,

front 9 good. ... back 9 not so much
Second time playing the course with a few years in between rounds. Our group was quite pleased with the conditions on the front side. THEN we got to the back side and the gimmicks began. Very scenic vistas try to hide the poor layout. Overall was so so and average. Members seem proud of the fact that it was the most expensive city course to build in California. That being said, the cart paths and bridges cannot hide the flaws. If you like playing target golf with a 6 iron off the tee, this is your dream.
Kosko,
Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback! We always appreciate a new guest's view of the course. The first time through, the back nine can be super tricky (event a couple holes on the front). It took me a few times through to finally learn my game-plan for each hole - much more enjoyable that way. I hope you decide to come back and if you do, we have pro-tips hole-by-hole on our website! Either way, have a great day and thanks again!
