Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club

I had been forewarned that Lake Jovita was a hidden gem, but still - I was overwhelmed

this is a Great layout, with expansive views ( due to the un-Florida-like terrain - Hilly !)

we were booked for the North, but got "upgraded" ("it is more scenic") to the South

the starter sent us off a little early - to avoid being behind a tournament - we played in under 4 hours, and had No One behind nor in Front of us - all day

This course stands up to any & all - in Pinellas & Hillsborough counties

Set up twosome thru golf now hot deals, thought I could add my son to make a threesome but couldn’t, either on phone with golf now rep, or thru course website. I assumed course had put my twosome with another, but when we show up to play, they sent us out with three other twosomes, all separate groups. A little frustrated I couldn’t add a third player, whether is on a list of golf now “friends” or not.

course conditions were great. Course layout was challenging for 1st time playing. The cart gps helped out a lot. Will be back to play north course

This was a challenging course for me. Fairways were generous but a number of approaches were narrow with bunkers and water on both sides. Greens were true with some tough pin placements. Womens tee boxes were in good shape which is usually not the case at most courses. Will definitely play here again.

The golf course has great scenery and nice layout. Some long par 4’s will test the average golfer. Can’t wait to play the course again. Only drawback is the bunkers are in terrible shape. The sand is clumpy and not what you would expect on a course of this caliber. The bunkers should be pristine for the cost of play. Stay out of the bunkers and this course is near the top in the area.

For me, it's the court I prefer to play when I come to Florida. The asking price to play is very reasonable. Today the bunkers were not in good condition. very icy welcome from the assistant to the pro.

Complete satisfaction with course conditions. Bunkers not fully recovered from recent rain storms.

I would go here again.. pretty course with some elevation changes that other Tampa courses don’t have. Nice greens.

Had played this course last year and wanted to play it again. Played on a overcast and wi dy day and enjoyed it. The tee boxes looked like they could usa a little TLC as well as some of the HUGE greens. But the most disappointing thing about the course this year is the condition of the numerous traps throughout the course. With the excepion of the ones you can see from the clubhouse, most of the others were lacking sand or they needed to be raked badly. I hope they either remove some of the traps or they put sand in them.

Course layout was great. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are well maintained. The fringes around the greens were a little rough,. None of the sand bunkers around the greens were raked. When playing less expensive courses this would be acceptable, but not for the rate they charge.

First time playing the course - bunkers weren’t always the best on most holes. They need work but course was in good condition and the layout was challenging. Would definitely play again.

Bar closed when we finished and this was just 7:00 pm

Great layout and in wonderful condition. Always a great experience playing at Lake Jovita.

All 4 of us said it was the best course we played in Florida. Simply amazing and in superb condiition. We loved the layout and the club house.
