Mission Inn Resort & Club

About Mission Inn Resort & Club
The family-owned Mission Inn is one of Florida's friendliest and most value-forward resorts. With two golf courses, including the century-old El Campeon layout, it is an ideal setting for buddies trips and, at about 45 minutes from Orlando International Airport (MCO), remains convenient to reach from afar while removed from O-town's occasionally chaotic energy.Facts

Great Course
Booked on GolfNow, beginning of August in Central Florida we had the place to ourselves. Great condition, great layout, very fun course to play. Will be playing again next time.
8 and 9 were closed due to irrigation repairs, we were able to play 2 others in place of, nice course. Will be back.
Tough
I’ve played Las Colinas a few times and gave el campeon a go because the rate too good to pass up and man it kicked my butt but had a great time , #5 was closed for some serious maintenance so wel played #1 on lad Colinas to make up for it but all in all a good round and always great fun
Awful
Awful condition of course, including fairways cart paths and hole conditions
Absolutely NO WATER ON COURSE with one beverage cart we did not see till 13/14
no rain checks given for thunderstorms and torrential downpours with pooling water on the course
El Campion is Wonderful
I really enjoy playing the El Campion course. It's in beautiful condition. We played in less than 4 hours. Worth every penny.
What’s all the hype about?
75$ on a Saturday in the summmer. This place is not worth 40$ let alone 70+. Nor is it worth the gas money it takes to get there. . Greens hasn’t been mowed all week. There’s sandy patches in the middle of most fairways and greenside areas. If it’s not sandy, then it’s the Open type rough looks like it hasn’t been touched since th me course opened in the 90s.
Didn’t see the cart girl until hole 11.
Maybe all the money is going to the campeon course???
Carts were the nice , and the layout was ok.
Hoping for more
First and foremost, I played this course for the 2nd time in more than a year. The layout is wonderful and fare. You hit it where you’re suppose to and you can put up a good score. I had an early tee time and a single, and there was no starter and the cart employee wasn’t even around. Picked a cart from the general area and checked in. The employee said to hand my receipt to the attendant, I told her there was nobody out there. Didn’t take long for some one to help me .
The range balls were crap for $9 bucks for a small bucket (not worth it). Then they proceeded to put me behind (single) a woman foursome. They eventually let me through.
If you looking for a decent course and willing to spend $75 bucks, play it. If you’re looking for a golf experience skip it.
Where's the Water?
The course is currently undergoing renovations. It seems the staff has let that be an excuse to not repair damage to fairways, not drag and smooth bunkers, and to leave the rough cut so thick you can't see your ball when standing over it. Once again, renovations are happening so I can let that go and would be interested to see it in daily or tournament conditions.
What I cannot let go and why I would not recommend this to a friend is the complete lack of water or concessions while on the course. There are water fountains straight out of an elementary school from the 1990s that dispense a yellowish-brown water at a tepid 80 degrees. The water coming from the faucet at the two on-course restrooms is a milky white that looks like it shouldn't even be used to wash your hands, much less drink. Each restroom building also has a Pepsi vending machine that shows buttons for Gatorade or Aquafina...both of which were not even powered on. Finally, I saw a beverage cart parked at the cart barn, however it never made it's way around the course. Unfortunately, the course is a 1917 design so it is a true 9 out, 9 in experience where the turn does not happen at the clubhouse/restaurant.
It's Florida, in July. It was 96 degrees, humid, and sunny. The absolute lack of water or any sort of concessions made me quit after 9 holes. I got this tee time at 50% off on a hot deal and would say AVOID at all costs paying full price.. The renovations and lack of maintenance make a hard course impossible to play and the lack of water made it downright uncomfortable if not dangerous to play during the summer.
Overall great course!
2nd time playing in the last couple months since they began the irrigation work ( one hike closed at a time)
Overall, great course layout and conditions especially for hot deal prices!
Great course
One of the better courses in the area. Can’t beat it on a hot deal. Completely empty in the afternoons. Only complaints is the gps in the carts that stop you from driving in hazards and around greens was way off on my cart.
Course is undergoing an extensive irrigation rebuild, and there was constant noise from groundskeeper maintenance (leaf blowers, mowers, you name it -- even one guy on a tractor hauling an industrial blow dryer up and down several of the fairways as I was playing them). Hole #14 is completely closed for the irrigation work, and it looks like hole #5 will be next. All that being said, it was still in great shape overall and, as always, very challenging tee to green. Well worth the Hot Deal I got.
Rain rain goabway
The rain before the round made the course soggy. We had a sow group in front and one pushing behind us. But is a cool course and I’m looking forward to playing it again.
Awesome time
Course is in excellent condition. Staff is super friendly. Challenging but playable.
Awesome course will definitely play again and can’t wait to play El Campion or however you spell and say it.
Las Colinas was in great shape.
Beautiful Country
Definitely not Metro golf. Secluded Beutiful country.. bunch of wild turkeys walking around. Greens were good for Florida summertime . Nice folks , friendly guest. Good pace. And tuff from back tees.
