Mission Inn Resort & Club
About Mission Inn Resort & Club
The family-owned Mission Inn is one of Florida's friendliest and most value-forward resorts. With two golf courses, including the century-old El Campeon layout, it is an ideal setting for buddies trips and, at about 45 minutes from Orlando International Airport (MCO), remains convenient to reach from afar while removed from O-town's occasionally chaotic energy.Facts

Outstanding course
This is perhaps the best course I've played in the Orlando area and definitely the most difficult. The course was in great shape. The layout is much closer to what you'd expect in the Texas hill country that what you'll typically play in Orlando. Tremendous elevation changes add substantially to the playing length. Well conceived design and very pretty all around the track. I'll absolutely play it again and highly recommend it.
Enjoyable mixed fourball
Played with friends from Scotland . Course in lovely condition and well maintained . Always enjoyed layout of course with nice variety of holes . Good facilities at practice area and well stocked pro shop.
Staff friendly and efficient . Prices have gone up as with all courses but still well worth a visit .
Good layout and conditions
Course was nice. Pricey. Cart girl came by once in 5 hr round. Only snacks and drinks no food. Went to restaurant on turn which is about 1/4 mile from 9th green. No turn food available. Only order from restaurant. They did make me a fast sandwhich. But cart service was awful.
doesn't get any better!
if you like perfect from any distance!!!Mission inn is the golf course for you!!
Los Colinas
Mission Inn never disappoints, I got a great hot time deal and dodged forecast storms for a nice 18 on Wed afternoon. Los Colinas was in great shape, the greens clean and firm but not super fast so they were very playable. A couple of spots on 1 or 2 fairways looked like they had been recently repaired, but didn't affect play.I have played El campion in my last 3 trips to Mission Inn,but kind of forgot how nice Los Colinas is.This remains my favorite golf destination in Central Florida, they just do golf well here.
Busy day at a beautiful course.
Got waylaid enroute. 15 min late. Pro shop and starter so helpful. Got me on El Campeon posthaste. Paired with 2 fellows. One was a good golfer who couldn’t tolerate the slow pace of play. He left after ten holes. My game was a bit off. Drove well and putting was enjoyable on the great greens. Course challenging but fair. Well laid out. In great condition. Great variety of holes. Excellent sand highlighted that part of my game.
Fun day
Course was in good conditions and staff was very friendly. They got us off right at 1:45 on the dot. The pace of play was excellent 4 hours and ten minutes. There was a slow three sometime in front of us. We didn’t call but someone behind us must have. The pace picked up immediately. Nice to know that the rangers here actually do something. Didn’t play well, but still had a fun time. Excellent price, so all is good.
Both courses have pluses and minuses
Played both courses recently again , Los Colinas is a nice layout in very good condition but the greens remain some of the slowest I have ever played. El Campion is $10 more, in good shape and tests your game. However , it appears that management refuses to spend the money to monitor the on course pace of play. One day it moves along. The next day one or more slow groups make it a 5 1/2 hour round and no Ranger in sight.
slow
Rangers just drove by without explanation for slow play ahead of us. Play was over 5 hours! Unacceptable!
Nice….assume the season was to blame
First time…. Great golf facility, everything top notch except the course in spots. I’ll give the benefit of a doubt and blame the season/lack of rain for some of the dead areas, especially some tee complexes. Overall a very nice day with my good friend and we’ll be back.
Great course
If you want a real challenge, try out el campeon. . Greens were in great shape and fast. Course is in great shape. Look forward to playing again. Only complaint/suggestion is several pin placements were on severe slopes. The greens have plenty of undulating features.
Wonderful Gem to Play!
We are from the north and chose this course after recommendations from other golfers and it was just a bit outside Orlando. We had a wonderful day. The layout of the newer course is perfect to enhance pace of play. They were very busy the day we played, but we did not see other groups too often. Course was in good shape given the recent heat and lack of rain. Great character to the course. Pro Shop was well stocked with great selection. Nicole and her staff were on top of their customer service game. They were very welcoming and friendly. Nice bar/restaurant with great views after the round. The bartender was very attentive and 'get it done' oriented with regard to our order. I think his name was Nate. We cannot wait to come back and play the older course and I would highly recommend!
So you think you are good huh
There are many golf courses that will befuddle you or defeat you while you are playing at your best. You know there names in the same way they know your game and unfortunately your weakness..
But can these courses like Augusta and Cypress point also boast impressive views and incredible elevation changes with each hole having its own character and exposure of the shortcomings of your game?
To play well at El Campeon not unlike it’s sister course Las Colinas you must have impeccable control of your draw high and low and your fade high and low.
Every aspect of your game must be humming or it will humiliate you. To add to the woes the greens were fast and the slopes suttle. Getting on the greens was not a sure par or birdie.
It was wonderful !!
Great course!
If you have never played Mission Inn courses you need to put it in your calendar!!!!
