Mystic Dunes, a Hilton Vacation Club

Course needs water. Very dry conditions even thought it has been a wet month.

Extremely disappointing hitting a good shot and watch it roll from one side of fairway to off the fairway or hit a pitch within 3 ft of the pin and watch it run 15 yds off the green. Been playing for 60 yrs and I have never seen the edges off the green so short.

Course definitely has character with strategic drops and few elevation changes. Greens ranged from quite challenging to Imaginative and were at a good speed. The only improvement could have been a few areas outside of fairways that were not lush. Overall a wonderful and challenging experience. Must-Play course.

A very quirky layout in need of mucho TLC. Green undulations were some of the wackiest I have ever seen.

The course is undergoing some infrastructural work and so there are areas that are not pleasant to play, for example there are very sandy waste bunkers that should actually not be in play.

Had a round at Mystic Dunes post-renovation, and I’ve got to say, it’s impressive. It’s still healing, but the course conditions are solid. Greens were a touch slow, but they roll true and smooth.

🛣 Layout:

Really enjoyed the mix here. You’ve got some drivable par 4s for those feeling adventurous, but also tight sloping fairways that demand precision. And the size of those greens! They offer a fun challenge, especially with their undulations. Watch out for the bunkers; they can be a real game-changer.

🌱 Range Experience:

A quick nod to their practice range – it’s top-notch. Think Augusta-level pristine. Definitely enhances the warm-up experience.

⛳ Featured Hole:

The Par 3, 11th. It combines beauty and challenge with its beach-like surroundings and sloping green. Got some footage, so swipe to see!

Looking ahead, once this course completes its healing phase, it’s poised to be among Orlando’s elite. Worth checking out if you’re in the region.

Course is a little rough. Greens were very slow and bushy. Word is they are trying to get this course back into shape. I have played golf around the world and can say with no doubt that some of the greens on the front nine of this course are amongst the craziest as far as undulations go. Im sure you could ski down one of them if there was snow here! Borderline crazy!! Prices need to be lower for the current conditions.

Great golf test....balance of challenging, fair and easier holes to play. Greens in great condition.
