Mystic Dunes, a Hilton Vacation Club

Course conditions were better than I expected. I really enjoyed the layout. I heard there were some changes made, seemed good to me!

I’ll preface by saying this is my home course, I’ve seen it at its best and absolute worst. This course got really bad over the past 5 years…. So, I was a bit skeptical booking a freshly reopened course as usually they’re still somewhat of a work in progress. Outside of a few tee boxes, this course is back! The staff is wonderful, Kenzie's restaurant is great after your round and the course has fully bounced back. I’d recommend anyone to play the course, great fairways, great greens, not a lot of rough because there’s a lot of sand. If you’ve played this course in the past 5 years and wrote it off because of its conditions, write it back in. They’ve changed the front 9 to the back 9, cleared some brush for better views of the course and have really manicured the golf course. Book whatever tee time you’re looking at, you won’t regret it.

They have completely re sodded the whole course including new greens. Course is in great shape and fun to play.

The course was challenging and needs just a little bit more time for the greens and fairways to be excellent. My only complaint would be the lack of a beverage cart on the course.

Course went through a renovation this year and is in really nice shape given that fact.

Staff is super friendly and helpful.

The course just reopened in October after major resodding and it’s still got the game. What was the back 9 is now the front 9, and vice versa, which helps on the new 8th & 9th holes: at the end of the round, they were tough, but it’s better in the middle of the round now.

Give it a growing season and Mystic Dunes will be back to a must play while in Orlando.

Course was great. Over 5 hours for a round of golf is way too long!

This course has gone through the good and very back times! Started playing this course when the club house was a mobile home! The summer overhaul has worked just fine, they have cleaned up scruffy areas and trust me this track is back!!! Yeah, greens are slow right now, but roll just fine with a little extra push. They hold every approach, very impressed! great Job!!

I have played this course several times In the past. I stopped playing it last year when it started going downhill . Hilton bought resort in march and the killed the whole course this summer to redo it. The have put in a ton off work and the course is going to be really nice next year . It’s got a great layout . The greens are in great shape but just a little slow for my liking . I would play it again if I got a deal. They added water and ice machines on the course which is great. It’s worth playing and can wait for everything to grow in.

I have played Mystic Dunes for 14 years. No question it had fallen on hard times last several years. But the links layout by Gary Koch with massive undulating greens has always been a unique course that many many people have rated 5 star. It is very close to Disney and within easy driving from all Disney resorts and Kissimmee or Davenport rental homes and condos.

Give this course another couple months of skilled greens keeping and it will great again.

The fairways, tees, and greens were killed and reseeded or sodded. Sod is still growing in on some tees and around some greens. Greens are thick and firm. They are a little slow right now, but very puttable.

Many of the staff have been there for years and give a Country Club welcome and experience.

Would recommend this course to anyone looking to golf close to Disney for a reasonable price.

I was in Orlando for a wedding and we found this course on GolfNow. I wouldn't say it's worth the full $85.00 per player (more in the $60.00 range). Course is very easy, I shot one of the best rounds of the year. Course is not really in good shape, lots of bad greens, bunkers, fairways. Pace of play was phenomenal for a Saturday morning. We did not have the wait once (two-some). Cart girl was super quick and efficient as well. We showed up a little bit late (Uber made wrong turn) and they did not have a problem which was very nice.

IMO a little pricey for the conditions but its a Hilton For the conditions 65 max as a green fee.

We will be back once its a little more manicured and matured.

New greens and they are nice. Course was in great shape. Several areas newly sodded but did not effect play.
