A challenging layout

Overall:

The layout is a good challenge. Its not long, but that's not its defense. Big bunkers, trees and doglegs protect the course. If you like dunes style golf, this would be pretty close to it in Florida. A couple of greens have enormous hills that you don't want to mess with. Sand is very soft almost a wet texture. It's in a residential area but houses/condos were far enough back that they didn't really come into play.

Pros:

Pace of play wasn't bad the day I played

Tee boxes were in good shape for the amount of use they get.

Nice fairways

Pro shop was clean and well stocked

Food was pretty good

Carts ran well

GPS worked

Cart paths in good shape

Helpful staff

Cons:

The driving range was bad. Felt like weeds, if you could find a decent patch to hit from.

The greens were ugly. Not sure it it's off season thing, but hitting on mud, but at the same time they rolled quick. Not sure when they aerated last.

Several spots throughout the course that looked like the ground had been damaged and not repaired.

The course has ‘good bones’, and the greens were challenging, but they definitely need work. The fairways were in just average condition, not noteworthy at all. Elevation changes and forced carries made it interesting, but course conditions were lacking.

Soggy greens

My ball plugged on the green 6-8 times during the round. It was literally below the surface of the green. We could see water moving as we walked on the greens. I have never seen greens so saturated and it had not rained in days. Someone is grossly overwatering these greens. There was also standing water on some fairways and again it had not rained. Also the practice green was moldy. Other than the excess water issue, the course layout was great and staff was friendly. Recommend this course if they fix their overwatering problem.

Course was a good starting point for us. Lots of areas under construction but didn't really affect our play. A bit pricey for 9 holes.

Fire the greens keeper

Over watered soggy greens. Every ball plugged on all 18 greens. Water coming up from under your shoes when unit walked or stood on the green. Would not have played the course if I knew how bad the greens were. Total waste of money

Fire the greens keeper

Greens were saturated by over watering. Water would come up when u walked in the green. Everything plugged, sometimes the majority of the ball would be embedded Not worth playing right now. Extremely disappointed in the course I was excited to L play.

Be ready to play ready golf

Course was nice, a little tight. If we had a complaint we had four people and were looking for a ball and started receiving notices for pace of play. We finished the course in 4 hours 40 minutes. Said expectations were 4 hours 30 minutes so we were feeling rushed on pace of play. Made for rushed shots and frustration.

Needs Major Work

First time playing here and disappointed to say the least.

Course layout is actually pretty good. Course conditions were just short of terrible. We have been here since Christmas Day and have had zero rain. By the amount of water on this course you would think it rained 10 inches over the past couple days. Every shot into the green you would leave craters and have a 1/4 inch of mud on your ball. Tee boxes - fairways etc are loaded with weeds.

I live in Florida and belong to a nice club in Ft Myers and no way would we have the greens in this condition. Hard for them to recover.

Like many of the resort or community courses in the Orlando area, this course has a great and challenging layout, but the course conditions were rather poor, even for this time of year. Thin and spotty greens; tees and fairways that are as much weed as grass. I left the course after 12 holes because the pace of play was so bad.

Good value

We played this course 21Dec2022. Play moved quickly and I enjoyed the round. The starter was lacking in any direction and we got lost going to tee off. The course was nice but soft due to recent rainfall. I loved the GPS in the cart which is touchscreen and we could quickly access distance to the greens and hazards. I would recommend this course to a friend. It was good value and very peaceful. Not busy, I would go back. This is not a walking course
