Loved everything about Champions Gate
Four of us played the International course. Me and one friend are over 65 so we played the senior tees, the other two were younger and played the Whites. I had the round of my life that day shooting even par. You definitely have to think your way around this course. I only hit my drives anymore around 215 and the course played plenty long for me, but very fair. Most holes were middle irons and hybrids to the greens. The greens were great, I didn't hit a bunker so I can't speak for them. Practice facility was great. Would play there aging with no hesitation. My advice to someone playing there for the first time, use the practice facility to get warmed up, you will use all of the clubs in your bag.

Challenging course in great shape
This is a very challenging course with extremely fast greens and fast areas around the green. Also, you will have to hit your tee shots long and straight, because landing areas are quite narrow at times.
That being said, this is a beautiful course in open nature. It is shaped into the landscape with great care and it is kept in perfect condition. It is a first class experience!

Not bad, but would prefer international
First time play the national, the condition is very good, the staffs are very friendly (as always), car girl shows up as expected, pace was fine, overall, it is not as fun as the international course, but it was still fun, if I can’t play international, I may play this.

Prepare for Wind!
The course layout is okay but most of the course has no wind protection whatsoever so consequently prepare to face wind all day on every hole. We played today and the wind was 20 - 25 mph and it was tough to score. My partner shot 85 and me 89. Greens were also very hard and not receptive. I would recommend playing it once but we won’t be coming back. Too many other courses to play that has more wind protection and scorable.

Canada at the International
Despite being a bit busy with a tournament, the staff were pleasant and helpful. Championsgate provides a great practice facility and two courses- we played the International. A fabulous layout on an immaculate course. A pleasure to play, even in the heavy winds. We will play it again!
