Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate

From the greeting at the clubhouse when they took our bags, the visit to ChampionsGate was a pleasant experience. Putting Green and Chipping area were in great shape, the range wasn't packed and had good grass to hit off of since we were some of the 1st times out. The course was in Great shape, 98% of the tee boxes were flat and in good shape, greens could have been faster but with the undulation, I'm sure it helps the resort guests who don't play as much. Will be back for sure to try the easier of the two courses but I also plan to play this one in the future.

Championsgate has always been good, but on 12/23/2024 the course was in near perfect shape and they were offering a Florida resident rate which is a bargain. Golf this time of year in Florida for residents can be tough and expensive but Championsgate does it right and I am sure I am not the only resident who appreciates that. Staff is incredibly friendly and amenities are top notch. Can’t wait to come back.

In fantastic condition for this time of year. Greens rolling true and fairly quick. Staff is always nice.

Have played at both courses on property many times. Booked a tee time to play the International without issue. Arrived at the front desk and was asked if we were informed that the course was Cart Path Only....the 3 worst words in golf. We said that we had not been informed. The guy at the desk said yeah, we have overseeded the International Course and it's CPO. How does a course of this caliber spring this information on you upon arrival? They have phone numbers from the Golf Now reservation and I'm pretty sure they didn't wake up this morning and suddenly decide...Hey let's oversee today and just tell everyone when they get here. What pathetic management on a pricey course. They offered to switch us to the National Course which is FAR inferior, in both conditions and layout, Get a clue guys..Treat your customers like they matter. Bush League to say the least. Shame on you.

Loved the course. Beautiful conditions. Staff was great. Only issue was pace of play. Some foursomes just do not understand they need to play faster. I understand staff may not want to upset a paying group of golfers, but pace of play is likely the biggest issue golfers have. Sometimes people need to be nudged.. Highly recommend this course.

This was incredible value for money and checked all the boxes for me:

1) Friendly greeting at bag drop and pro shop

2) Included cart, range balls and water so I didn't feel squeezed for every dollar (I'd rather pay more for all inclusive that have to ask "How much" for each thing).

3) Nice course with outstanding course conditions (I'd like faster greens but understand resort courses need to cater to a wide range of preferences).

4) Very reasonable pace of play.

5) Friendly end of round greeting with clubs cleaned up and ready for the next round.

Just a very enjoyable day and will certainly play again (or try National) next time I'm in Orlando.

Right from the start this was a great experience. Friendly greeting, helpful and great value. Nicely designed course in great shape. Reasonable pace of play. I was particularly impressed with the included range balls and water. So nice to not feel like you’re having every last dime squeezed out from you.

Wow. Do yourself a favor and play the international course. What a jewel of a course! A true links course. It’s challenging but fair. Greens roll true and it is in mint condition. Norman did a spectacular job with this design. It has every kind of hole that requires a variety of shots. The staff were very friendly. Rick was extremely kind and welcoming. I look forward to playing this course again soon. Will also play the national course. I would’ve paid twice what I paid to play this course. I paid $115 and a course of this level could easily charge $200 to play. Really enjoyed it.

I played the International Course 11/11 - 11/13. Really enjoyed this course. Was scheduled today 11/14 but got the flu and had to cancel 🙃.

Staff was excellent. The course layout was fun and in great shape. We played the international course. It was challenging without being overbearing. It offered a nice selection of risk/reward opportunities. I will certainly play again
