As expected the new greens are very firm and have a hard time holding shots without back spin. Putts rolled at a good pace and true. Many of the tee boxes need to be leveled. Overall the course is really nice and was a fun layout. Playing in 20+ mph winds and then some rain showers made it much more difficult. I look forward to playing it again this winter.

There are an equal amount of challenging par 4s and 3s to slightly more attackable par 4s. The course is well spread out.

First time playing and loved this course! Greens were beautiful and well cared for.

I’ve played both OCN courses but it had been a while in between rounds on Panther Lake for me. IMO it’s a high end golf course at a very reasonable price, in very good condition. I’m a senior player with a mid handicap and the course is a real challenge for me from the white tees. The greens were in very good condition. I will defiantly be back.

I played Panther Lake on Monday (single) & as part of a group on Tuesday, where we played Crooked Cat. I played both courses about 20 years ago as part of golf trip. So that's my reference point. Back then, there wasn't a blade of grass out of place. Not so anymore. Lots of weed grass. And the most troubling thing was the turf density. Very thin. Panther was worse than Crooked. But still prevalent on both. Apparently they are getting ready to start winter seeding. Maybe that will help. But I recommended both courses as part of our trip. After explaining to the guy's about my experience on Mon, we decided to cancel our Thursday on the Panther course. Luckily we are all Florida residents and only had to pay about $80. Had we paid the standard $130 (with tax) I would have been really upset. I hope there's a day sometime in the future that I feel comfortable going back. Both courses are great layouts (especially Crookedk). When I played it 20 years ago, it was worthy of all the accolades. But not right now. I did want to mention the very nice (& free) practice facilities/range.

My son and me played Panther Lake, the course was in great condition and the layout is quite challenging with some tricky holes but very enjoyable. The greens ran nice and true and a good pace and the pace of play was perfect, a 4 ball group allowed us to pass on the back 9 when we caught them up straightaway with no problem.

I would definitely return to play this course and also spend another day playing Crooked Cat, the practice facilities at this venue are excellent.

We had a lovely day on the course and would have loved to have a quick bite and some drinks after but unfortunately the kitchen could not accommodate my wife’s Gluten allergy so we had to go elsewhere.

I've heard the pace of play can be slow but I played before 8:00 and finished in under 4 hours. Course was in great shape. The greens are new so they are a little firm.

Super fun layout made really challenging in high winds.

Impressed with course conditions. When you go there the first time they don’t give you a good layout of course, where to go, how much time it takes to get to range/course/how to get included range balls and didn’t give me free balls before I went all the way to the driving range and had to buy some. Has some really slow people on back 9 of panther lake who don’t know golf etiquette and rangers should be more vigilant. Also out of t shirts at pro shop. Seems like an easy thing to Maintain easy inventory of t-shirts since they are completely out of them.

The worse staff I’ve dealt with. Rude. If you have a child don’t take him here not kid friendly either.

Panther is back!!!! Still undergoing some beautification, but the greens and changes to a lot of the bunkers were well done, i enjoyed the changes, suprised that some of the tee boxes weren't leveled better (were untouched) but still in nice shape. The greens seemed to hold better compared to when the cat was refinished last year.

We were one of the earlier groups to play here since it reopened and were finding that people weren't fixing their divots on the greens!!!! COME ON PEOPLE, it takes 2 seconds and the greens are brand freaking new, DO BETTER PLAYERS!!!!

I played Crooked Cat this week. The course never disappoints me. Tee boxes, fairways, bunkers and greens were all in excellent condition. It is one of the best courses in the area that allows public access.

This place is amazing and you have to play here at least once! The practice areas are the best I've seen and the Crooked Cat course with the new extremely fast greens is a major challenge!

With the recent wet conditions we are not getting any roll out on the courses so I played the Green tees with the hope of breaking 80. I ended up having some troubles with the green speeds and scored an 86 but I did birdie the par 4 hole # 12 the #2 handicap hole, locals I played with claimed it as the hardest hole on the course. Had to hit 3W off the tee then my approach shot from 160 yards out landed about 8 feet from the pin, was a tough birdie putt but I dropped it in. I then promptly got a double on the next hole haha.

Anyways I enjoyed the round even though we had some rain showers for the last 5 holes. I look forward to going back when course conditions are dryer and more firm!
