Excellent conditions
Excellent conditions, and a nice layout. Only negative was not having a ranger on the course. The group in front of us finished the 1st hole before we teed off. Had to wait for a twosome to join us. By the time we got to the ninth hole we had to wait on every shot almost a 5 hour round.
Good course for short game practice
The tooth course is fun to play and good to practice your short game. Since you walk the course the regular price is a little expensive. We had a golf pass deal which made it more affordable.
It was nice to see a few places where sun shelters had been added since there is no shade on the course.
Excellent Practice Choice!
This is an excellent practice course! Friendly staff and great condition.
Nice kayout
Was out favorite course in Orlando two years ago, but not worth the price they charge this year. Hopefully conditions will improve by our next visit. Will not go back again this year.
By Far Best Value for Orange County Residents
I can’t think of another golf course in the area that has better value than CC or Panther Lake for that matter. There was a bit of a rough patch in conditions when the weather turned extremely cold (rare) but has since recovered nicely. Course plays hard in the wind - not much water at all but which may be why I like it so much lol. Greens are new and maturing nicely - they do not hold great but are not bouncy. Some pin spots can be very challenging and the new greens are not easy to read. Overall a great complex.
Great course and priced right!
The course was in very good shape compared to other courses in the area. They had a bad freeze but the course was still in very good shape. Great layout.
Somewhat Disappointed...
I had never played this course and had an opportunity to play for a good price and was really excited to play. To start, the practice facility is amazing. Proshop to starter staff were good too. We teed off at 1215...all good until we reached the 7th tee box. There were 6 foursomes including us between the 7th tee to the 7th green., par 5. For a golf course of this caliber, charging upwards of $150 a round, I would expect that pace of play would be much more controlled. After speaking to a marshal, they have no control/authority to move groups along. We waited on every tee shot, 2nd and approach shots. We finish our round at just over 5 hours. If I had paid the $150+ rate...I would be fuming. According to the marshal we spoke with, this is a common issue. The overall condition of the course was good, I'd recommend to play but to be mindful of the possibility of a long round.
Slow Round. Average Conditions.
Pace of play was over 5 hours
Course was decent but not great. Has been much better. Worst I’ve played in last 10 years.
Greens were shaggy and had some weeds. Cut in some places was uneven.
Paid $140 GolfNow rate.
Choose carefully
Driving range facilities were outstanding. Layout of golf course was nice. Course condition was not good fairways grass was very, very thin, almost like playing off hard PAN.The tee boxes were tore up some aerated. Greens were sanded and fairly slow.
Conditions little rough
Driving range and practice facility are top of class. Staffing at bag drop, pro shop and starter very good. I really enjoyed the course layout with fairly generous landing areas and greens well protected by bunkers. There was water, but not too much like some other courses in the area.
Now for the negative. The course conditions are at best a 3.5 star. The tee boxes need some love. The fairways are well groomed, but grass is thin and not lush like it could/should be. The greens were in ok shape, but recently top dressed with sand. There were numerous greens you could see ball trails from the sand, similar to what you would see with morning dew.
This course could be a must play, with a little tlc.
Highly overpriced for what you’re getting
Greens very good.
Fairways just about ok
A lot of bunkers never seem to be raked
Staff all good and very friendly
Certainly not a bad experience but far behind a number of courses in the area at a lesser price. Felt it had deteriorated since last year. I’m playing around Orlando 3 times a week for the last 5 weeks and this is say is the poorest review I’ve given. Sadly I won’t be returning. At the prices being charged I expect a more premium offering
Great For Wedge Practice
Went out last week to play 9 with my buddies & it’s definitely a great practice for wedge work. The fairways are a bit rough right now, but the greens aren’t too bad. Kathy was a gem upon checking in, she’s got a great personality and she is very passionate about the game. Rumor has it there is going to be an all you can play pass in the spring for $150-200, and lights are allegedly coming to the Par3!
Overall, a good practice spot & I’m hopeful the tee boxes and fairways will make a good recovery.
Great course to practice pitching and putting
Course was overall in great condition grass on the fairway, greens were immaculate. Course is pricey for nine holes, but they do have a replay feature for an extra 10 bucks. course is walking only; but the holes are close to each other so it does not feel like a trek.
