Crooked Cat at Orange County National

Was out favorite course in Orlando two years ago, but not worth the price they charge this year. Hopefully conditions will improve by our next visit. Will not go back again this year.

I can’t think of another golf course in the area that has better value than CC or Panther Lake for that matter. There was a bit of a rough patch in conditions when the weather turned extremely cold (rare) but has since recovered nicely. Course plays hard in the wind - not much water at all but which may be why I like it so much lol. Greens are new and maturing nicely - they do not hold great but are not bouncy. Some pin spots can be very challenging and the new greens are not easy to read. Overall a great complex.

Certainly not a bad experience but far behind a number of courses in the area at a lesser price. Felt it had deteriorated since last year. I’m playing around Orlando 3 times a week for the last 5 weeks and this is say is the poorest review I’ve given. Sadly I won’t be returning. At the prices being charged I expect a more premium offering

We enjoyed the course. Had a group of older gentlemen in front of us and they were very slow. We waited every shot on the back side. Other than that, it was very enjoyable. I know the slow play isn’t the fault of the golf course. Would definitely like to play panther next time.

Course was in great shape, but had a horrible experience. By the time we reached hole 4, the entire maintenance crew was directly next to us with several running pieces of heavy equipment. On top of this, they were rushing us through our round by standing next us while hitting shots from the bunkers so that could rake the bunkers while we were on the green putting. This lasted through hole 9 where we asked a manager if they could have them wait until we were done playing the hole to get what they needed done. Instead of doing this, we just got told by the manager, I believe Alex, that we weren’t important because they had a big-money tournament the next day and the maintenance crew had things they needed to get done. The only thing he offered to remedy this was another discounted round of 18 for the final 9 holes we hadn’t completed. We reluctantly agreed to this offer but it was immediately rescinded when they realized we booked through TeeOff. Contacted TeeOff customer service and they reached out to the course just for them to tell TeeOff that the course was playable on the given date. Essentially turned into $500 dollars wasted for a group of guys who never splurge on nicer courses. Real bummer to start the golf trip.

I really enjoy Orange County National. This was my fourth visit and it never disappoints!

I usually don’t write reviews ( 2nd review in 10yrs), but had to give this course a five star rating as it exceeded all expectations! Great layout, fantastic facility & conditions, friendliness staff & good vibes for any course that I’ve ever played (100+ ). Looking to now move my guys golf trip to this great set up of 2 legit tracks, biggest practice facility ever seen & sweet accommodations!

Well-run operation. Great practice facilities and staff very friendly. Front nine was so-so. Not much varation on holes. Back nine was more interesting with more water, interesting carries and beautiful natural areas. I'm not sure the cost was worth the whole experience though. I would probably play it again if I was with a group.

Played both Panther Lake and Crooked Cat on back to back days this week and couldn’t recommend Crooked Cat enough! Very nice design and extremely fair! In awesome condition for January and the driving range is incredible.

Consistently in very good shape. Crooked cat is a beautiful course.

I played on a foggy day so figuring out where to hit the ball was difficult on some of the holes. Having said that the course was well maintained, the holes were interesting (if not always obvious in the foggy conditions) and perhaps the purest greens I have putted in a long time.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. I prefer it to the other course, but not by a lot.

I played Crooked Cat more than a month ago. However I get a daily email to review the course!! I am afraid I am being charged for golf that I didn't play. So I will continue to put in bad reviews until the emails stop! I gave a positive review right after playing the course but after having conversations with both Golfnow and Orange County National, I still get the annoying emails...... So I will continue to post bad reviews until the emails stop!!!

Extremely slow play due to a fog delay in the am and members of a group running extremely late didn’t get to tee off till 1:45… our tee time was at 1:00.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Crooked Cat. Tee boxes were in excellent condition, fairways were plush and the greens ran true. We will definitely play this course again.

There was a slight kerfuffle when a group accidentally jumped in front of our foursome, but it was handled quickly and professionally by staff.

The new greens are HARD. So, if the hole location is in the back, play to the front. If it's in the front, play a high ball or you're cooked.

This is the best time of the year to play this course right after they’ve seated all the grass is green and in great shape
