Had a good time a Panther Lake. Would be nice when looking for courses on Golf Now if it mentioned that the course will be cart path only. Looks like it was due to over seeding which was done a while ago, so it should have been information available well before the round.

Beautiful meticulous course that is both a challenge and fun. Will play every time I come here in future, greens were fast but excellent condition.

I play this course 2-3 times a year. Everytime I’ve played here it’s fantastic. The course was immaculate the greens were both receptive and fast. Top notch place that I look forward to playing again and again.

I was really excited to play the course and show it off to my friend that came to town to play a local course that is highly regarded.

Unfortunately the experience was very poor.

Here are 3 examples of this:

1. Course seeding & watering was being done so the play was Cart Path Only.

Walking was not what I signed up for to have to walk back to the cart multiple times for all 18 holes.

Unfortunately the booking site did not explain that, as it was buried in the fine print only after you have to click on a separate booking details link.

I would have rather known that clearly before booking, since I would hand paid more to play the other course to not have to walk.

2. Watering was being done immediately before our tee time.

Tee times should have been delayed to restrict play into the course had time to drain and dry.

Unfortunately that resulted in very wet play.

3. Cart range computers were way off.

Unfortunately on most holes the yardage on the cart computer was 20-60 yards different than the tee box markers.

It seems some operational practices need attention to be much more customer experience focused.

I played here 10 years ago, and it might be another 10 years before I play it again if nothing changes.

Clubhouse staff, Cart attendants and Starter were great, so they should be commended for being very customer friendly and helpful.

I previously played Panther Lake and enjoyed that experience so I wanted to play Crooked Cat to see if I would enjoy it as much and I did. The course was in good shape and the layout was interesting. This course could play as easy or difficult as you would like based on tees chosen. I would definitely play here again.

Booked a tt on Golf Now, arrived to starter 10 min before tt told me on was on tee sheet for 1 spot later, I tried to show him my confirm email and he was rude, telling me I needed to go back to pro shop, I.stead of arguing said ill just wait 1 more spot. Then when are turn came up a group of two came to starter with that time. Pro shop guy came down and he said one of them booked as single at my tt and the other at the time after. Pro shop guy then decided to send the group of 2 ahead of me, now I'm 2 spots behind, and 20 min last my booked tt. I asked to be taken care of for this and they didn't care, Then after our group of 3 teed off they sent out a group of 2 after us. Totally incompetent and unprofessional golf staff, will never play here again

Greens and fairways in great condition

Every hole has a different challenge and most have a risk/reward element.

Much more pleasing on the eyes in terms of layout. I do think this course is harder than crooked cat. More trouble. Course is in great shape.

Course is in great shape and greens rolling very nice. Not sure why it was cart path only as the course was plenty dry, but wish I knew that going in as it slowed the round way down and caused me to mis-club multiple times when I had to walk nearly a hundred yards from the cart and “guess” what club I was going to need. With no rain in the area in weeks, this was obviously a known issue and could easily have been conveyed.

We were notified 2 days before our tee times, that the course was in fantastic condition, but still not ready for carts to be driven on the fairways, due to over seeding. We appreciated the heads up, and allotted ourselves more time to play so we could get the round in before dark. The staff was exceptional and very friendly. We will always return to play this course during our golf trips in the future.

This is a well designed course but with cart path only and ridiculously slow pace the experience was not enjoyable.
