Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge

Played Panther Lake last week for the first time and was excited to get out there. But wow...$215.0??? It's a nice layout and in decent shape but no way is this course worth $200 +. And that didn't even include range balls. Staff was a little "stuffy". I would play here again but not at that price. Lots of other courses available for less than half that price.

Panther Lake is an "American" style parkland course featuring rolling hills and a number of elevated greens. Room off the tee makes this course approachable, but intricate green complexes with slopes and undulations make this a second shot course. Good amount of water without being involved on every hole. Greens were rolling over a 12, making for some extremely difficult putts. Pace was pretty good. We were 10 minutes ahead and still were spoken to by the ranger to pick up the pace. After only one hole on the back nine we caught up to the group in front of us and were backed up the rest of the day. Great layout with interesting holes. In addition to greens, fairways and rough were pristine.

5 hours 10 minute round. No marshalls. No fun even if playing well when having to wait frequently.

Course is always in great shape. Pace of play was slow on the back nine.

This place exceeded my expectations. The layout, conditions, and scenery were fantastic. What a great facility as well. They have everything you could need and more. Next time around, I’d love to try the crooked cat. I highly recommend giving this course a shot

Afternoon tee time. We had a little over 4 hours till sunset so we went into the round knowing there was a good chance we wouldn't finish. No big deal. Not waiting too long on every hole on the front 9. Finish the front in 2 hours. Make the turn and the 2 groups in front of us had decided they would play together. We asked the guys what the deal was and they responded with “we all have a match together and we’re playing as fast as we can”. Kinda nuts but we called the clubhouse to get a ranger and it took them over an hour to come out. Missed the last 4 holes and as we were driving out we saw a different 8some and another 6some. Other than the lack of rangers the course was beautiful and challenging. I would play again if I can get out in the morning.

Played here multiple times per year over the last 10 years. Do not waste your time or money playing here. Called main line twice to be told no one was answering at pro shop. Told cart lady which was nice that a 6 some was playing together and a couple holes later a gentleman came out and said he broke them up. Very next hole back to playing as a 6 some. We went around them only to find a 8 some playing same hole. We will never return here as locals. They don't value what pace of play means to their customers whatsoever.

Great facility, have an amazing practice facility, great value for what one pays.

Good agronomy, excellent condition of greens. Greens were fast true roll flat with slight pitch. Interesting holes not too long, not too tight Good location easy to find with GPS.
