The Pace of play is always really slow in Florida although it was slow for my standards it was better than most places in Florida this time of year. The course is i great shape.

Outstanding experience. Great layout and condition. Even with top dressing the greens rolled true. Need to come back to play Crooked Cat next time!

I have played this course before but today the fairways were non existant and mostly dead grass and dirt. The course is a good hike and fun to play but even the greens were not in the best shape

The staff was very impersonal and unfriendly

Course is in prime condition and layout was challenging without being extreme. Only issue is we finished just 15 holes after 4 hours of play due to slow pace. Need a ranger out there to speed things up.

Last play was in last summer. Came back during the winter time. The green much nicer. With value and condition worth better than other places.

This is one of the best short practice courses I've ever played. Since I live only 5+ miles from the course, I play here often throughout the year. The course is comprised of 7 par-3 holes and two short par-4s. Regardless of time of year, the course is kept in terrific condition. That said, while conditions remain good, the weekends and summers can find this small course quite busy. As a result, if you don't time it right, you may find yourself holding back a few expletives as you continually stand around waiting on the t-box for the green or fairway to clear. However, again, this is typically only an issue on weekends, holidays and the summer months (when the course is home to several youth summer camps.) All-in-all, this is a fantastic little course.

This was my second time playing Panther Lake in January 2024. On both occasions, the course was in fantastic shape from tee to green, however, the greens were far slower than they appeared. I paid a $120 Orange County Resident Rate and had to show the pro shop the "Tee Times Notes" on the bottom of the GolfNow Reservation Confirmation page for them to honor (and/or have any idea it existed) the 2-for-1 range ball deal. I went with the large bucket of range balls so all of 4 of us could split them--in all, it came out to $140. While the course conditions definitely deserve a slight bump in the rates, at the end of the day $119 for an Orange County Resident Rate is pretty steep for a public course--even if it is home to the "world's largest driving range."

Great course no question but to pay $211 and still have to pay for range balls on top of it is absolutely mind boggling ! The staff there needs some better people skills very luke warm at best ! $5 for a coffee !

Really good layout and very well maintained course. Great round assured for all levels. Course ranger did a super job keeping pace up. Clubhouse friendly and pro-shop reasonably well stocked. Thoroughly enjoyable 18 holes..

Course much lush than at any time I remember.

Traps, tees, fairways and even the rough we’re very playable. But the greens were bumpy, slow and not close to true.

Regardless, love playing the course and they even introduced rangers which I’m for. Round took just over 4 hours on a crowded Saturday.

We come to Florida for a month every winter and always enjoy playing The Tooth once or twice. So we were disappointed with the condition of the course yesterday. One of the things we always liked was the grass on the fairways made it easy to hit pitches and chips. Yesterday there was no grass - just roots.

Also, there weren’t enough bunker rakes - five bunkers and two rakes for all 5? A couple of times we fished the balls out with our water retriever to avoid delay.

We won’t be playing here again this year for sure!

The front side is clearly a little harder than the back 9 on this track. The overseeding during the offseason truly made this course look its best. Unfortunately, we were stuck behind a slow foursome which resulted in our round being just over 5hrs. The group was warned 4 times by the marshal (they had a 2 hole gap); however, that didn't appear to have any effect. If I had played this track under normal conditions I believe my experience would have been better.

WOW!! The previous reviews were nice but didn't truly give this course the justice it deserved. Outstanding layout with pace of play at 4hrs. I was a single player in-between two foursomes. With that said, I really didn't have to wait that long (which was kind of surprising). Given the time of year I expected some marginal playing conditions on the course; however, the course was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. All of the bunkers were in excellent condition (which questions whether anybody was ever in them). The pro shop has ample space to accommodate plenty of guests. Plenty of parking and the driving range facility is extremely large. I played Crooked Cat the next day; however, believe Panther Lake is the better of the two tracks. Highly recommend.
