Yep, a "FIVE-sum", holding us up the entire back nine. Completely ignored by the Marshall. Photo submitted by Ernest1975 on 03/26/2016

great views of the resort. Photo submitted by Scott4497478 on 09/21/2012
Great layout,,,,poor fairways conditions.
This course has such a great layout and beautiful scenery it’s a shame that the fairways and tee boxes are in such poor condition. The greens were good and sand traps were well maintained., but the fairways are horrible. I live in south central Texas where rain is obsolete and in the summer our fairways are dreadful. Hawks landing was like playing back at home and definitely not worth the price. The Marriott really let this course go in maintaining it. Also why do they let so many hotel guests use the golf course as a walking/jogging trail is beyond me. This could be a fantastic course if they can get the fairways in shape and keep non golfers off the course.
Loved it
Very nice course. Challenging enough for the better player and forgiving enough for the lesser player. 2 thumbs up
Front nine is in bad shape with lots of bald patches on fairways .Greens are very slow
Back nine is ok. Needs some work on tee boxes .It’s not worth for the money
I played this course many times in the past but never seen like this
Nice layout, course needs some TLC
Nice layout, some of the tee boxes need work. The fairways were hurting in some spots also. The greens looked really good, but the speed of them was very very slow. For the current cost I think the conditions should be better, but it is a very enjoyable layout.
Great experience
Great course particularly for mid handicappers. Greens were excellent. Will definitely play play it again
This course needs better maintenance
The fairways were patchy and the greens were slow.
Needs Attention
Normally high on a list of courses I enjoy playing, the conditions were just too poor to really enjoy this round.
Tee boxes are poor - more dirt than grass on most, and that's even with the boxes moved from their traditional placement.
Far too many fairways in poor to downright shoddy condition. Greens LOOK good, but were rolling slower than anywhere in central Florida, and just a little slow either, REALLY slow.
18 green, while looking fun (replica of Sawgrass #17) Is too gimmicky. Not receptive enough to reward a good tee shot.
Fantastic layout
Great layout and very strategic. Greens are fantastic. Some tee boxes in rough shape. Fairways are good for the most part.
Overall fantastic experience experience.
Pretty upset
Terrible tee boxes and fairways conditions, 5 hours and 15 min to play 18 holes
Great course terrible pace of play
The course had just been rained on the weekend we were their, so the course itself had some waterlogged fairways and muddy roughs. But it was still a beautiful course with lots of water and fun to play. My biggest problem was the pace of play. I know that we had at least 3 groups in front of us. We traveled all the way from Atlanta, Chicago and Phoenix to play at some quality courses in Orlando. I understand rain and course quality is hard to control but by the end of the round the GPS tracker told us we were 53 minutes behind pace. I don’t think that should be allowed regardless the type of course you are playing.
HawksLanding-summer season start
Pro shop attendant not friendly at all, very dry, no greeting, just asked facts.
Tee boxes were in poor condition, mostly dirt, fairways were not good overall, several dead spots. With the amount of rain we have had recently, not sure why. Bunkers didn’t look like they got the morning rake.
Greens were in great shape but very slow, weren’t cut in a day or so. This is a fun course to play with the layout, not very long, but very disappointing condition for the price,
Back nine in poor condition
Playing course was like trying to find way around in an amusement park. Poor condition on back nine.
Good condition even with Aeration
Course is in good shape even with aeration of the greens. Pace was hit and wait at times, but I was a single and knew it was going to be slow.
Hoping For better!
It’s a fine course!!! I was just hoping for better. They did just aerate the greens so it could be time dependent. I would play it again for a discount but would never pay $100 bucks to play it.
Fast pace, greens ok
Greens just had been aerated. Tee boxes poor condition. Fast pace.
Really nice course
Everything about the course was good. The greens had just been aerated but were still smooth and fast. I enjoyed my time at the course. That staff were nice and helpful.
