Yep, a "FIVE-sum", holding us up the entire back nine. Completely ignored by the Marshall. Photo submitted by Ernest1975 on 03/26/2016

Enjoyable round
Course and greens in great shape. Have to think through most holes to account for all the water hazards.
Hawk’s Landing, May 2
As a local, I’ve been wanting to play this course for a couple of years. Finally secured a $40 round on GN. Here are some observations…
Staff, indoors and out, A+
Greens, A, as they were nice and rolled consistently for all holes
Fairways, B-, as front 9 had numerous brown or bare areas. Back 9 was in better shape
Tee boxes, D+, most were nothing more than sand traps with grass patches. Would expect better for a resort associated with Marriott in some way.
Course length is a short Par 70 with max length only 6255 yards from black tees. Hole 18 is a par 3 with island green.
Extras, A, as greens fee included range balls, golf carts are nice and include GPS, beverage cart was avail during afternoon round. Pace of play was 4;15 and only had to wait on shots a few times.
Having played it now, I will probably not play this course again unless priced below $40. Just don’t think it compares with many of the nearby courses in the same higher price range as Orange County, Disney, Providence, Southern Dunes to name a few.
Why are pro shop people so mean
So, booked 3.. had a ride along fiancee.
Stan, aka, Mr Golf pro scientist said he'll charge ME for the fact that the add on 4th THEY booked cart fee.
So, no, I said I'm not comfortable with a stranger in pur cart with covid
Oh, Stan says, "it's almost over". Hmm here I am, with my medical license, being told by golf pro about covid.
So, the have mask signs and 6 feet stickers on the floor. But, I'll pay for a stranger to not air with me.
No.
Come to hear, the rest of the staff aren't his biggest fans.
Course ok.
Tee boxes mostly dirt.
I would say priced a little high.
Nearby is relatively better deal.
Ok but not great
Convenient location. Friendly staff. Pace of play was a little slow for the course length (6,200 yards from the tips). Some of the tee boxes were pretty chewed up but the greens were in good shape. Course design was a little funky, short par 5's and long par 3's. Overall not upset I played the course but wouldn't play it again with the myriad of other courses in the area.
Very good course
Had a great time and was paired with some really nice people. The course was in great shape. The greens were very hard and fast. I will play it again when I get the chance and will tell my friends about it.
Resort Golf w/ no frills
Pace of play for slow for a short (5,600 yd) course. Ofcl course your going to have your “visiting from out of town” guests play but there needs to be someone managing the traffic after 3 tee. Backup started at 3 and never was addressed by a Marshall. Staff was very friendly on and off the course but at the end it was “mind numbing”to play the last 3 holes in 70
Mins. There were 9 guys staying on 18 green, in front of the cart and front desk staff and nobody felt the need to move them along? There we 3 groups waiting on 18 tee box (short par 3). Overall average at best and probably good for someone who is staying @ The Marriott but no a great value/layout/maintained facility, IMO
Fun course very friendly. Make sure you hit it straight.
Good Conditions for a Busy Course
Due to the location, this course sees alot of play on a daily basis.
Playing today, I found this course to be in good shape overall. They were resoding the first tee. Other tee areas were resoded in the past few months as well.
Played from the tips as this course is not that long from these tees. Some teeing areas are small and the target is also small to aim at.
Not a course for slicers as some holes are tight with a good amount of water and trees to avoid..
Overall, an enjoyable course to play if you are paying in the $75-90 range. Not worth paying $100+ for this course.
Enjoy!
Excellent
Whole experience was great apart from the few lost balls in the water. Excellent course well worth a visit and will definitely be coming back.
Very good shape
The course was in very good shape. Black tees on par threes, especially 18 could be closer. Island green shot is 50 plus longer that TPC Sawgrass 17! Very nice staff and well organized.
