nice
slow and bumpy greens traps very rock hard need more sand in traos
Pretty Nice.
Played P Inn at Crystal River for 1st time, hole #1 a pretty nondescript Dogleg left, very short, hit an iron off the tee. Hole #2 same, except a Dogleg right, each hole after that got a little better. Back nine is a little more scenic , fairways were decent, and greens as a whole, were very nice and consistent. For 28 bucks on a Feb. day, can't complain. Nice folks inside and the cart barn fella was a real gent! Will come back and Charlie's Seafood House is only a mile away!
Great Course
Nice course and layout. Fairways were a little wet from the rain fall overnight. Greens were fast and true. Will defiantly play again.
Nice course to play
Some bad spots around the green all around great course for the money. Would play again for sure.
Crystal River Plantation
Always fun playing The Plantation GC. Most greens were in great shape. Challenging fairway and course layout. Some tight lies here and there though. Had fun.
Great conditions for the money , better than more expensive courses
Flat layout, water hazards on 30% of the holes but not bad, fairways were in better shape than some of the more premium courses in the area greens were in good shape with a few bare spots on the perimeter‘s but putted very nice. Not too challenging of a layout But not wide-open. had some very beautiful holes. I’ve played six of the courses in the area and the fairways on this course for the best and the fridge iaround the greens where are the best around. Recommend
Good golf
Nothing spectacular but the course made for a good friendly day.
Great value
The Plantation Course has good greens except for a few holes. One of the best values in the area.
3 hour play
Thanks ro the gentlemen that let us thru on #3. We completed in 3 hours flat. Course is in really good shape for winter.
Fred, our caddie
Very nice course, conditions in the fairway and greens are very good, even for winter. Staff are especially friendly, even Fred. He didn't make a sound during or tee-offs on #17.
Much Improved
I played this course on Jan 15th. Very windy, and finished on 18 in a cold, downpour. I was impressed with the course and the greens. I've played this course often and the greens are normally very slow and bumpy. But with the winter overseed they are much improved Always very subtle breaks around the hole that are easy to misread.
The overall conditions of the course were a solid B-B+. No complaints. I was only in one bunker and it turned out to be hard-pan, back right bunker, on 14, in the very back right hand corner of the bunker. Wouldn't think many people end up there.
Winter conditions seem to make this course much more enjoyable. Most difficult hole to make par: 13, most likely blowup hole: 11. First 4 holes on the back make the back nine much more difficult than the front.
Plantation
Was a good layout. Was slowed down by a reverse shotgun on a 60 degree day in January.............
