Plantation on Crystal River - Lagoons Course

Overall this was a very good value for the money. Practice balls are included with the greens fees. Course conditions are OK, fairways are struggling with the dry weather and tough winter, but the greens are not bad. Course layout is typical for the area, some water to watch out for, but not too tight.

The course was in great shape considering it was hit with a devastating tornado followed by a hurricane. Can’t wait for the reconstruction of the clubhouse to be completed. We loved supporting this beloved course. Thank you for all your hospitality!!

The greens were in great shape. They were putting manure on the fairways. Clubhouse and restaurant under repair.

The course is making a comeback after several hurricanes and tornadoes about wiped it out. The clubhouse/restaurant is still not operational. The greens are excellent, for the most part (a couple are a bit rough) and they are working on the fairways. We played with a group of 3, plus a non-playing rider... the cost of $35 + tax for the rider was ridiculously excessive, in my opinion.

It was nice to see the course coming back after the Hurricanes.

I had heard good things about this course and tried it out. For ~$40 it wasn't awful but the only good thing was the greens. They were in great shape. Otherwise the layout is mostly boring, very little to no grass in the fairways or around the greens. I am happy to see the course reopen after the storm damage but they need more time to grow grass before I would recommend this course. Not a bad place for beginners as its fairly open, with a few tighter holes. Not worth the money or drive time. No working bathrooms, just port o potties.

Course is in good shape. 90 degree rule in effect, to keep fairways more manageable. Great idea. Go play this course, have fun

The greens are in excellent condition, fairways will be better with some rain. Enjoyable course to play.

A few of the greens have damage. Most of the fairways are bare por burnt out. Most of the greens where decent. The pace of play was very slow. I would play some where else if there was other options currently.

The course lacks amenities at this time, they are trying to fix this. So bring your drinks and snacks with you. This course layout is quite different than others in the area. The Greens except hole 2 are in excellent conditions, that’s the highlight of this course and the reason I will be back. The tee boxes could use some love but they are acceptable. The bunkers and sand traps were in good condition. Some fairways were in good condition, others have some areas without grass, this did not affect my game.

Overall the course was in good condition. You have to remember it is in a tidal basin and subject to frequent flooding. The fairways take a beating, but still playable. The greens are always in great shape and putt true. The staff are friendly and helpful. The wildlife on the course is varied, from alligators to all manner of birds, from eagles to ibis. It is a challenging course, but very fun. It will be nice to have a clubhouse for the 19th hole when they are completely re-built. But all in all, a great way to spend 4 hours!

Great to see the Plantation back up and running. Greens were in really good shape, fairways are coming along.

They were going through some new construction upgrades. There is no food or drinks so you can only grab a candy bar, chips and soda or water. No Cart person of course. But there is a great food place across the street you can meet after golf called Cedar River Seafood

A warm welcome whether talking about the weather or the friendliness of the people. The greens were great but the fairways needed more grass. Perhaps as we move through the rainy season that too will improve. Overall it was a good day.

Greens were great condition. Fairways need a little help, but overall great value.

Tee boxes , hole signage , layout were vert nice . Staff was very friendly ! They appear to be working hard to improve the course ! Price is a little too steep foe current conditions.
