Ponte Vedra Inn & Club
About Ponte Vedra Inn & Club
Somewhat overshadowed by Sawgrass, this classic inn and resort predates it by several decades. Two charming golf courses have benefited from the design expertise of local resident and experienced architect Bobby Weed, and the new Lodge recently increased the resort's accommodations complement by several dozen rooms. Ponte Vedra Inn & Club should be near the top of the list for visitors seeking a sense of Old Florida.Facts

Good course that needs a little love
We enjoyed our round here, our first this year. Like many courses in the area, it's slightly shorter than what we're used to on the blue tees, but with several good length par 5s and few longer par 3s it was interesting to play. Some tee boxes need maintenance, and one was under repair. Greens were in reasonable condition for this time of year, maybe slightly slow. Some wide open fairways beckoned roping a drive, while a few right fairways called for caution. Penalties on a couple holes felt like they were deserved, and good course management was rewarded. Overall a good experience and reasonable value.
Good value
Played here twice with my wife and as two some we played quickly.
Locals Know Best
This course was full of locals...why? Great price for the quality of the course and a fun track. Florida golf with lots of water, but fair. Greens were a bit shabby, but the new owner is working on that. I'd definitely play here again.
Fun, but Slo
Fun and fair round. Nice distances from the forward tees. Fairways in nice condition. Greens coming around. Tee boxes pretty poor condition, but who cares as ya tee it up anyway. Pace of play got excruciating due to getting behind a clueless foursome in their own little world.
Always a fun round.
Course is looking greener and greener / better and better. Excellent staff both inside and out.
Nice course!
Great staff - front desk and starter. Harry was fantastic starter. Informative and so friendly and welcoming.
Back nine tough compared to front, and lots of wind.
Enjoyable course to play. Challenging and scenic.
Conditions
Awesome layout - poor maintenance on tees and greens
First time
Fair ways are Great, greens where very firm and patchy.
Golf
Nice layout, greens slow and not great shape
Too many areas of red fire ants. Need to spray much better.
Brrrrrr
Played many times but it was way to cold for these old bones.
Disappointing
I have played this course many times before. I found the course not what it used to be. Many areas of fairways not up to par and the greens that were in perfect shape before were just average and very bumpy.
Must play
This course layout is great and the staff is friendly. I wasn't happy to see the sprinklers come on just when golf now golfers hit the 4th and 5th hole! Then the course maintenance started cutting every hole after 8th.
First Time Playing Here
Here from St. Louis. Glad I found this course. Very friendly staff and the course was in great shape. Love how each cart has monitors to keep score and yardage. Only feedback I would have is trial and error for the auto shutoff function on the golf carts. If you get within a certain yardage, the cart will shut down and you have to reverse in order to activate. I would tinker with how close one could get, or include a map of where the sensors are each hole.
