Ponte Vedra Inn & Club
About Ponte Vedra Inn & Club
Somewhat overshadowed by Sawgrass, this classic inn and resort predates it by several decades. Two charming golf courses have benefited from the design expertise of local resident and experienced architect Bobby Weed, and the new Lodge recently increased the resort's accommodations complement by several dozen rooms. Ponte Vedra Inn & Club should be near the top of the list for visitors seeking a sense of Old Florida.Facts

Beautiful Golf course, great amenities, nice layout and greens are true.
great wildlife lots of gators fast greens overall very nice except for very slow foursome
Nice Sunday
Old school golf course with a nice practice area. Real range , no floater balls here. Plenty of room here to hit driver alot. Houses are far away from course so you never feel crowded. Nice mixture of holes so you get a different look and don’t get bored. Good place to come on a Sunday afternoon if you can get a tee time. Quite place away from the snowbird crowd that clog up the rest of the courses. Friendly staff too. Will be back!
Challenging Fun Golf
A course that was well layed out to keep one thinking out each shot——putting was difficult to read for breaks on the first try heading to the hole—-speed of putting was challenging!! Overall the layout had some tricky bounces towards sand traps and water!! An enjoyable experience!!
Pretty nice course little tight in spots not the best friends a medium green to a halfway decent I enjoyed my day
Pristine Condition
This is a 5 star golf course!!!!!
The practice facility is one of the best with unlimited free range balls!!!!
The pizza at the club house afterwards was excellent!!
This course is a must play!!
Nice day at River Wilderness
We really enjoyed this course. The layout was challenging but fair, the course was a little dry but still in great shape, and pace was under 4 hours.
I would strongly recommend this course as one of the nicest in the Sarasota / Bradenton area.
Lost Round
I have played this course many times over the last 10 years. The course was in the usual shape. Greens and fairways are good, little to no sand in the sand traps, many bare spots in the rough. What saves the course is the interesting layout and nice practice area. Unfortunately my round was interrupted on the 12th hole when the pro approached our group and notified us that due to a conflict with a nine hole members ladies league shotgun start we would have to stop playing and return to the front nine if we wanted to play more golf that day. It was a mistake by course management to allow our (and other) tee times that would conflict with the ladies league. No consideration was offered in terms of a rain check the only option was more golf on the front nine. So we payed $40 to play and replay one average nine holes of golf, no option to post a handicap score or see the golf course as some in our group had planned since they had not played the course before. It was clearly obvious that public play is a way to supplement the course income but is not a welcome activity for this course.
Disappointing condition
Have played this course around 6-7 times over the last 3 years and the condition has declined a bit. Greens still putt ok, but some sort of invasive grass has started to take root in some of the greens and some of the tee boxes are a bit beat up. Traps are not in great shape either. Not in the best condition heading into the season. Beautiful area and some cool hole designs so it’s unfortunate that I won’t want to play it again soon. Much better options in the area for the $50 we paid.
Enjoyed this course.
Friendly staff. Pace of play was great. Conditions were good. Will definitely play here again.
A wonderful course to play.
Wonderful course to play. Staff friendly, course in great shape, fantastic layout and very quick true greens,.
First time here
The course was dry, needs to be watered. The greens are hard and they don’t hold up well. Pace of play was slow. No beverage cart at all!!!
River Landing Third Round
This is one of my favorite course due to location, the golf course and the practice facilities.
Great Day
First time playing here it was great. Dew still on grass with a 8:00 tee time, but still nice. Nice layout and really fun course. I will be back and you should definitely go play there
Reviewed on previous experience
Unfortunately the above scores are based on previous play as I had today's round due to regular heavy rain showers following hurricane Michael. Also as it was a hot deal booking and the course remained open I doubt I'll get a refund so won't be using golf now again. Presumably they expect you to get a soaking even though the wind and rain was pretty extreme.
Slowest round ever!
They had our time set up right behind a youth tournament. It was so slow almost an hour for 2 holes. 3 hours and 30 minutes for the front nine at least. Worse part was the club pro showed no concern whatsoever. I get they are a nice club but imo this is unacceptable behavior and a complete lack of concern for anyone that comes there to play who is not a member or local I guess. A shame to see type of apathetic behavior. I won't go again period!
