Ponte Vedra Inn & Club
About Ponte Vedra Inn & Club
Somewhat overshadowed by Sawgrass, this classic inn and resort predates it by several decades. Two charming golf courses have benefited from the design expertise of local resident and experienced architect Bobby Weed, and the new Lodge recently increased the resort's accommodations complement by several dozen rooms. Ponte Vedra Inn & Club should be near the top of the list for visitors seeking a sense of Old Florida.Facts

Lucky Find and a Great Course
I was lucky to find a very low price for golf and was very suspect. When I arrived I was greeted by professionals and introduced to a great course.
This is a truly 5 star establishment and the only reason I did not give it a complete 5 star review is that the greens are recovering from aeration. Even so, they have done a great job with the greens.
Nice course
Nice layout with good greens which unfortunately were airated prior to our round. It was an enjoyable outing with the exception of the clubhouse manager being very unfriendly to us.
Going to give it another chance
Paid $50 to play with the course. Showed up and the staff was polite and friendly. When I went to pay they told me that it was cart path only so I expected a slower pace of play and some water. The course was drenched and even in the fairways I was standing in muddy puddles. The greens were in great shape but I left after 9 holes because of the watery conditions. I’ll try this course again because the layout was fun and challenging. Not sure that I’d play again for $50 and definitely not if it has rained at all.
wet
Course too wet, bunker with water. Cart only on path
Course not enough drained.
Staff friendly ++
Course quiet ++
Always Fun
This is always a fun place to play. One of two courses at the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club. I prefer it over it's more famous Ocean course.
Great Course for your Buck!!!!!
This was one of the best courses, that I have played this year. I played a lot of courses but this one tops them all. Staff was very friendly, the greens were awesome, Fairways were great. Looking to play this course again.
All great but the cart paths are disgrace
All great but the cart paths are disgraceI would probably have that done sooner than later there was a couple areas with the potholes were huge and there was a big drop off about 6 to 8 inches on one part of the cart path it’s pretty aggravating to drive on that stuff other than that everything was excellent you fix that I’ll come back but it that’s a big deal to me because I could feel every bump thanks again for all
River Wilderness
First time out on this track. Great layout. Fairly wide open. Dodges a few rainstorms during round - greens have excellent drainage - able to re-start round each time. Will definitely be back.
Play it while you can.
This is a gem of a course and for most of the year it is private so play it now while you can. What a wonderful layout and beautifully maintained. The greens are on the slow side but they roll true. Love this layout. I will play it again and again as long as I can.
Great Day
Great traditional golf course design and layout.
My wife and I had a great day!
Friendly staff and the cart girl was great!
Definitely will play again.
Perfect Greens
Great older course with a nice layout. I've only played here a couple times because it takes a little effort to get to it. The greens are the best part of the course, they roll smooth and true, but the grain makes them hard to read. It is not overly long or particularly difficult, but fun and challenging. Fairways were a bit dry for this time of year. rough was cut pretty short, so it wasn't very penalizing. Overall I had a good time, and will come back if the price is right.
Course was in good shape greens soft & putted true. This was my first time playing the course being a private course & a little pricey for summer I expected more
Another Great Experience
This is a really great course for the money. The course was in great shape and played very evenly. with many different tee boxes, the yardages are good for most all golfers.
There are a couple of holes (2 & 10) that could be designed a bit better or at least additional information provided to let you know how to play the hole. I did not see a yardage book but that doesn't mean there wasn't one.
Best suggestion: Bring a GPS as there are a few shots you might want to play over if you knew you could carry.
All-in-all, very nice and will play it again whenever I can.
Excellent layout , nice greens!
Played in a scramble, very nice layout, greens were in excellent shape. Will get my weekend golf group to play here next summer for sure!
Great Day
Great day, the golf course was in good shape except for the greens which were aerated last week. One of the best courses I have played in the Bradenton area.
Solid Course - Wish I Knew About Aerated Greens
I play this course about once / month, and enjoy it quite a bit. The staff is always friendly, and for the most part, the course is consistently in good shape.
I was very disappointed that I was not made aware the course had been aerated...I would've made my reservations elsewhere. Often times Golf Now informs you when the course is in that condition, but it was not called out in this instance.
I'll continue to play this course, but I hope the communication between Golf Now and River Wilderness will improve moving forward.
Great course
You'll love playing this course. Challenging yet beautiful set within the wonderful homes of River Wilderness. No wonder my husband refers to this as Paradise.
3 1/2 Hours to play back nine
It took 1 hour 15 minutes for 3 of us to complete the front nine. When we got on the back nine we had 2 foursomes in front of us. One in the fairway the others on the green. We were told they were members and so I guess you can tee off on the back whenever you feel like if your a member. Neither group would let us through. Ridiculious. The greens have still not recovered from being punched, so putting was tough. This is a nice course but not at almost 5 hours.
Just punched
they just punched the greens and the fairways I would stay away for about a month. Would have been nice of they would have informed golfnow of the conditions.
