Saddlebrook Resort
About Saddlebrook Resort
Since 1981, Saddlebrook Resort has been a go-to-destination for golfers, located just 30 miles north of Tampa International Airport. The resort's two original Arnold Palmer designs are being redesigned in 2025 into a 27-hole combination by Rees Jones. This entirely new playing experience will pair with a new 13-acre practice facility, home to a two-sided range, and golf school to engage golfers. A world-class tennis facility is another major attraction of this resort. A sweeping $92 million transformation will reimagine the 451-room resort from the ground up – positioning it among the nation’s premier leisure and sports resorts.Facts

Great course
Not overly long but allows for driver from the blue tees. The greens are phenomenal. They roll nicely and hold.
This course has went downhill. The Saddle Brook side is not worth playing Possibly one of the worst courses in Tampa area. The greens are horrible and the fairways are not much better. After 5 holes we moved over to the Palmer side to see if it was any better yes it is better but it's not up to The standards it once was . Believe the pandemic probly cause a lot of the maintenance problems. Oh well hope they get it together
Great day of golf
Great day of golf. They got us out early. We didn’t have to wait too much. Course was in excellent shape. Lots of water for a challenge. Good price. Very happy.
Gorgeous Fla day
A perfect day for golf in Florida. 65° and bright sun. No hurricanes in the forecast. The Palmer course was in great shape, From tee boxes to greens. Played as a twosome behind a twosome, behind another twosome in just over three hours.
OK Course with Small Greens
Overall the course was in fairly good condition. But to be honest, it just isn't that special of a course in terms of layout, scenery, or conditions. The greens in general tend to be very small on many holes, which if there is wind like there was today can make for a less than enjoyable round even when hitting it well. The course overall is not that scenic either with lots of housing and other resort areas visible on many holes. For comparison I think the nearby Lake Jovita courses tend to be better in all regards at often similar prices. So it is an ok place to play of you can get it in the $30 range but I wouldn't pay much more. You also have to park quite a hike away from the golf pro shop and then hope the shuttle cart doesn't take forever or be willing to walk it for 10 minutes to get over to the pro shop with your clubs to check in. I would instead play Lake Jovita or make the drive to World Woods or even to Orange County National or other Orlando courses to have a more enjoyable round.
Disappointed
The course is very interesting to play. However a number of the greens still need to be repaired. Expected better conditions for a resort. Also, no ranger and played through 2 fivesomes and a sixsome. “they claimed it was two threesomes”. Wait for better conditions.
Great course, but...
It’s a resort style course. With its being in season there where definitely a lot of people on the course. Course conditions were fairly well. A couple of the greens had some repairs done to them recently. With it being in season a lot of people are walking around the greens where the main pool is at. 18 had a lot of people walking up and down the cart path leading up to the green and no one seemed to care that they were on the course.
First time
Course was in better shape than described. Pleasantly surprised. Pace was great. Course is tight but playable.
Great Day at Saddlebrook Golf Club
This is the first time that we’ve played the Arnold Palmer course at Saddlebrook. The greens were fast and the fairways were in good shape except for hole number 1, which had a muddy patch. That was the only hole that we experienced that. The course is challenging and it’s important that you place the ball in the fairway so that you set yourself up for a good 2nd shot. The greens are just as challenging if you haven’t place your ball near the pin.
Great layout only wish I played better. Will be back again. Thanks
Play it again Sam
