Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

The day before we played there had been a significant rain fall so the driving range was closed when we arrived. While it would have been nice to get a heads up email, fair enough. The morning had been sunny and windy and by our 2:00 tee time the course had dried out. Nevertheless we were told that it was cart path only. There were also a group of 8 ahead of us with what looked like 3 non golfers in each group. They were painfully slow and spent way too much time hunting for golf balls every time they were near water. Front 9 took over 2.5 hours with no ranger in sight. Back nine saw some people behind us quit and we were quickly caught by a group who twice hit balls over our heads and had managed to disconnect the GPS on their carts so were able to drive all over the course. Again with no marshals in sight, we were forced to confront them and were offered apologies and surprise at the cart path only rule. The Raven is a nice course but for the money, should have someone looking out for their guests.

The course has a diverse view of all of the holes. They’re all very beautiful.

Nice course, interesting layout, very good greens with plenty of movement. Weather was a bit wet for us but solid course overall and with many holes alongside the water, the course was very picturesque in many areas. Rental clubs were pricey for being a bit long.in the tooth but overall an excellent day and value.

Greens are desperately slow, I realize it’s early in the season, but shagggy

Pace of play was very slow even for non peak tourist season as well as the greens were thick like a fairway very slow greens.

Baytowne is fun to play. Its greens are ridiculously slow. Some good holes and some they should blow up (13). If you are staying at Sandestin it’s a fair value and a decent challenge. The clubhouse and other amenities are marginal.

Great course to play. Layout was challenging. Beautiful scenery.

Me and 5 of my best friends played this coarse on my bachelor trip and it was a blast. Best view of the water on any golf coarse. The cart girl was superb, the pro shop was helpful and quick, and the food was great. I highly recommend this coarse for a group that is looking to have fun and get an 18 in. Can’t wait to go back this summer!

Lovely course. But poor marking of where next hole was. Also, no access to washroom as pro shop closed

Nice course with fun layout, conditions pretty good considering time of year. Will return!

The course layout is really nice BUT the course needs love! Greens are great but fairways tees and landscaping is all very tired. I really want to rate it higher but the course needs seed and lots of tlc.
