I dove in the waters surrounding the 17th green. Gordon Davis, who's been the diver there for 20 years, was my guide. No gators, just golf balls. A lot of golf balls. Photo submitted by MattGinellaGA on 05/02/2014

Amazing!
The Dye corse needs more drainage upgrades, I expected cart path only with the weather just before I played. Our forecaddy (Logan) was very good at his job and easy to talk with. Greens were the fastest I had ever played. Can’t wait to play it again, hopefully the stadium corse.
Lost not found
I left my ranger stuck to the cart. It had my name on it with the number to my home club. I did not notice until two days later. When I called over they said that it had not been found. Now its been four days still nothing. I guess that is the difference between a private and a public course. Makes me reconsider joining. I know its my fault but at my age I forget stuff all the time. It is just disheartening.
A Beautiful Challenge
As a high handicapper, I found this course to be extremely challenging. Fortunately, I was paired with more experienced golfers, who led by example and were extremely encouraging. This made for a enjoyable round, even though my playing leaves a lot to be desired. The staff is top-notch in every way. The grounds are beautiful, and well maintained. The clubhouse is iconic and words on its own. Highly recommend.
Fantastic
One of those once in a lifetime opportunities, don’t pass it up!
Love this course
Played it two years ago and had to come back again. Dye’s Valley is a beautiful track that is challenging but fair. Pristine tee boxes, fairways and greens. It was cart path only when I played, but the pace was still fast and the course was in fantastic shape. Will certainly play it again the next time I’m in the area.
Bot value for money
Good course
Good condition
Good view
Good club house.
To be nice here and breath the smell of the Players tournament.
But this course is expensive.
Too much $$$
It’s a really nice course, but it’s not worth the almost $400 (including forecaddie) - bucket list, but wouldn’t bother playing it again
Winter Brown
Dyes course needs a little more water compared to Sawgrass. Greens were in great shape. Tee boxes and rough a little disappointing.
Good course…..not amazing
The Valley course is nice. It’s not the Stadium course. Definitely enjoyed the day but I’ve played similar courses for less money.
Wet
The Dye course rough was not cut for a few days. Was very wet which is beyond their control. But the starter was cold and unfriendly, the lady in pro shop made my visit worth it. Was rained out which sucked.
For the money won’t be back.
Not Worth the Price of Admission
In my humble opinion, it's like every TPC Course I have ever played.... Way too expensive for what it is. The TPC brand tends to inflate rates by 2-3 fold.
Obviously it's a beautiful course, an iconic clubhouse, and in fantastic condition. It has a very resorty feel like most Florida golf courses do. I think it's a $250 golf course. With the history behind it, I could see that going to $350-$400. But $800 and being the second most expensive course in the US outside of shadow Creek in Vegas... Seems crazy. I would say the course itself lands somewhere in my top 30-40 courses played.
The course is challenging with a lot of water and sand everywhere. I was lucky enough to play one ball all the way through 17 (don't ask). The course had had 12" of rain in the last 7-10 days so it was sopping wet. I don't hold that against tpc as that is nothing they can control. For as much rain, the course was still in great condition. I played with a member who said the water around 17 was the highest he had ever seen it and a Korn Ferry friend of mine said the same thing. The member was super great btw .
It's a very fair course as several holes favor a fade and several holes favor a draw so it takes lots of different shots. The caddy was great. The breakfast in the clubhouse was great. The staff was friendly. Just don't know that the course is worth the massive hype. Hole 17 looks completely different than I was expecting without the grandstands around it. It's actually a little underwhelming honestly but still an iconic hole and a bucket list course due to the history.
