A short but very challenging course with lots of water. Even low hcp need to show their abilities. The recently finished green and bunker renovations came out to be excellent. Fast , hard and very true greens. A place where you even feel very welcomed to stay for an after round beer. Great views and wildlife. One of our favorites!

Perfect layout, fast and very true greens, great condition

Played just after the hurricane in windy conditions. We enjoyed it so much we played it twice and we got the pleasure of meeting a massive croc/alligator 2nd time round. Millionaires golf with Boone about!. Fabulous

This was a nice surprise. I was not sure what it was going be be like. There was the ADVISORY warning on the GolfNow advertisement. However, the greens and fairways were in great shape after they were reconditioned a few weeks ago.

There were happy hour discounts in the very nice bar after the round. Dwight the bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable. I'd gladly do this course again.

In excellent shape both fairways and greens , as the title says, short but challenging, probably booked solid in season, play in summer, hardly anyone there then, friendly staff, great bar & grill

I was not informed that the greens were in fact light sandy burned out colour - no green grass to be seen. greens were badly damaged in places. instead of taking my green fee the course should be closed.

The course layout is unique. Water on every hole makes for a challenge. The green will be under repair in a few weeks, so they are spraying to kill them. Besides that the course is in great condition and excellently maintained. We paid $20 each from golf now, wonderful deal.

Greens were top dressed...didn't tell us before....disappointing. Extremely short.....can't use driver...practice irons.

A great course to hit your irons. Although some holes are long enough for a driver don't be tempted, it will just get you in trouble. The fairways are narrow and there are lots of places where a slight miss will cost dearly. Ball placement is essential.

The dunes is beautiful watery course. Not too long but it can be tight. The rain in January killed the greens. It's about to close for new grass.

Beautiful layout that runs through the marshes on Sanibel Island. Not a long course but lots of target areas to tuneup your irons. Bring extra balls. Played with a dad and his 12 year old son who turned out to be a drive, chip, and putt finalist. He shot a 75 while I played well to shoot 85. What a polite and talented young man.

Worth the drive from Ft Myers and wait on the Sanibel bridge. Enjoy the walk and the wildlife!

This course has a beautiful setting. Pretty vegetation, water, and lots of alligators can be seen. However, it is not worth paying $110 for the shape the greens are in. By far, the worst greens I have ever played on, even considering beginner courses with lots of amateurs playing on them. The fact that they are still charging what would seem to be full price is an insult to the game. If the greens are replaced it would be a very enjoyable course.

Nice course with a lot of wildlife activity. The greens need some work with sandy and low growth areas on numerous holes. Too many golfers on the course at one time for my taste. I was paired with two members and another single and we had a great time. No need to start on the 10th at 730 AM. OK value for the money.

Beautiful area with lots of wildlife doing their thing - gators in the gallery, pelicans and osprey feeding in the water, and other waterfowl grazingy. The poor conditions on the greens were a contributing factor to this rating. Many had sandy patches that made for difficult pin placements and were part of play on most holes. The other annoying thing was too many golfers on the course. We teed off before 9AM and we started on the 10th hole...am I missing something here after all it was Wednesday morning. My playing partners made the round most enjoyable as I booked as a single. For the money, I expected better...but understandable for the traffic on the course.

I have loved this course since first playing it over 20 years ago and have played it several times each year since. Short, even from the tips, but accuracy is the key with lots of water, small greens and OB close by on several holes. Wonderful island setting, and lots of wildlife to see. BUT played here in Octobed 2015 and the greens were poor, they are now shocking with bald sanded patches, several greens had fairly crude turfed repairs. Spoiled it fo rme big time....should be clearly highlighted to golfers before booking, and reflected in the price. I appreciate there had been lot of rain but several other noteable courses I played in the area had no such problems. For a course you simply must play it isn't good enough. Hopefully better before my return in Oct 2016. When in good condition this is some of the best fun golf courses you can play in SW Florida.....bar none. Still love it....

Course has lots of water but was well manicured, greens were in good shape except for one. Problem was extremely slow play, had to wait on every hole to hit and had to wait on virtually every hole to hit to green. Need much better marshalling. Given the price to play there they need to do better job of getting pace of play up or increase the time between starts.

Very enjoyable course, greens were a bit ropey but that was probably because of the recent rain. Look forward to returning
