Biggest “wild” gator I’ve ever seen. Yes that’s my buddy’s ball close to his head and no he didn’t go get it! Photo submitted by volsfan32119 on 01/12/2025

Wet course today
Cart paths only. We were lucky they let us out. And rain from holes 7-15. The sun came out on the last hole… tis the season.
The greens are over the aeration…too wet lately to cut the greens though. Great course.
RD
Nice character, unfortunately just aerated a few weeks ago so the greens were not their best.
Fun Course, lots of water
This was my first time playing the course.
The course staff was very friendly and helpful. They made me aware that you do not come back to the clubhouse until the end of the round, so the encouraged me to get ice and drinks (very helpful as it was VERY HOT).
The recently redid their greens and the greens were great. They were firm, fast and fun to play with lots of slopes and undulations. The greens are one of the best aspects of the course.
Made the game a bit more interesting ⛳️
The rest of the course is in ok shape. The bunkers were not to good at all, but that is acceptable because there had been a lot of recent rain and the grounds crews had not had the chance to maintain due to the rain.
Overall, fun course with lots of challenges and great people.
good challenge
Greens were in good condition and rolled nicely. Rough was US open and in need of a uniform cut length. Bunkers were well groomed with the amount of rain received
Highly recommend this course
Fun layout and course, course conditions could be better
This was my first time playing the Great Outdoors course. It was a very fun course to play. There is lots of water and wildlife. The course had recently received quite a bit of rain, so the conditions in many places were wet, muddy or soggy. Nothing the course can do about that, it is just a reality of being in Florida in the summer time.
The course was very wet and soggy due to some recent rains. The rough was very long and in may locations you could tell that the rough had not been mown for a week or two. Due to the length of the rough, if your ball went just off the fairway, it was a challenge to see and find. I lost a few balls that were just off the fairway and in the rough, due to the rough being so long and un-cut.
The greens were fantastic. One person who plays there a lot told me the greens were recently redone, and it shows. The greens were smooth, firm and have lots of humps, and undulations which makes them challenging and fun. The greens were the highlight of the course as they were very good.
If the rest of the course was as good as the greens, the place would be fantastic.
Beautiful course but beware of the rough
The fairways were in great shape. Greens were super smooth but fast! Make sure you stay out of the rough. It’s near impossible to find your ball in any rough on this course which makes cartpath only more treacherous. Overall I did have a good time even though I lost a lot of balls that I shouldn’t have.
Best Conditions in the Area
Staff is consistently friendly. Course conditions are nearly perfect. Layout is challenging but fair. Overall this is a must play course!
Course was in great shape. But the rough was way too high. Could not find your ball right off the fairways , slows up play. Not fun for amateurs playing in us open rough.
Tom
Great condition since the rework of the course last year. Best condition of course within the 50 mile radius that I play.
Fantastic!!
Fantastic layout, Fantastic service and the course is in phenomenal condition.
The renovations are incredible. They don’t seem to be mowing the rough so don’t miss the fairways or you’re gonna have a tough time. We had to claim gallery rule a few times after losing balls in the rough. The changes have made the course even more challenging and fun to navigate.
BEST COURSE IN AREA
This is the best course in the Titusville area. It was closed last summer for "refurbishing" and opened again right after the first of the year. The course is in excellent condition. The greens are superb condition and roll very true. Hopefully the deals will keep coming because it is worth it.
Noticeable Improvements
We play this course every time we're in the area, this being our sixth. Truly, the year of shutdown was a good thing as tee boxes, fairways, rough and greens were all in minimal need of TLC.
In addition, several areas of brush-covered rough have been cut down. You can now find your ball, but you may not be able to hit out of it. And still there are no refreshments, only restrooms, between #9 & #10 as there is no "clubhouse" turn.
We've always appreciated the change in scenery as you meander through the Premiere RV & Golf Resort featuring tall homes with attached RV storage and traditional vacation homes.
So, with improved tee box positioning, wider fairways with less rough, and consistent greens Great Outdoors is even more appealing.
We will be back.
