Trump National Doral Miami

First time playing, challenging course, but in great shape!

This is the second time I've played at Golden Palm. It was equally challenging as the first time, but also equally rewarding. Errant approach shots will punish you with greenside bunkers. The course was in absolute immaculate condition. If you're in South Florida, and love golf you have to play any of the course at Doral Trump. Each track offers a different challenge.

Trump International Doral is definitely Miami’s premier golf resort.

People that say short courses are easier than long courses need to check themselves. Although this course seems short, it is quite difficult. Shot selection and accuracy is key here. Par 5's that seem approachable in two, can punish you if you approach them in two. This course will make you use most of the clubs in your golf bag. The greens were fast and tricky with lots of breaks. I played with two regulars who gave me great pointers and I'm glad I listened to their advice. Everything about this course, like all Doral Trump courses is perfect, from the tees, to the fairways, bunkers and greens. 5 out of 5 stars, no doubt!

Very nice course, water comes into play almost every hole with the except of a few. Shot placement is very important on the Red course. Conditions were wet so Carr path only. Played as a twosome. Parking fee. Drinks are very expensive. Great staff very helpful, some amenities closed.

This was my 2nd time playing at Doral the last 2-3 months. I played Golden Palm in October, and loved it! I played Silver Fox today and loved it as well. Very challenging with water on 16 holes. Have to stay focused and get drives in play and good 2nd shots or scores will go up.

Nice course with challenging layout. Played it based on its reputation. Probably more interesting from a longer yardage. I played up a bit because of the rain and soggy conditions. Greens are gorgeous and well protected by traps. Wide open layout making it fairer for higher handicaps. Worth playing.

Greens were fast and in good shape. Collars are mowed wide and tight, so expect lots of putts from the fringe, which I enjoyed. I never play the tips, but still really felt like I was experiencing the course -- Blue tees provided a perfect track for my game (210-230 carry off the tee and slight fade), which was super important given rain that morning and basically no roll in the fairway. Sand was well maintained, even on a Wednesday.

Challenging course in good condition. However, pace of play was terrible. We had very poor golfers in front with no sense of golf etiquette. They hacked their way repeatedly down the fairway until the green and their putting was awful! Compounding the situation is that there is no course ranger to enforce a reasonable pace of play. Due to this arrangement, we finished an hour and a half, yes that’s right, past the usual 4 and a half pace. I won’t be coming back for a while.

6 Par 5s 6 Par 4s 6 Par 3s. Some holes are a bit tricky. Wet conditions made for longer holes. Nice sized greens and true rolls. My playing partner got a hole in one which was fun!!

Course is short but requires precise shots and thinking. Greens are true and roll quick.

Lots of water requires accurate tee shots. Only disappointment was lack of amenities. Greens were smooth and true. Traps need quite a bit of work due to flooding. Overall a very nice track.
