About Trump National Doral Miami
Located nearly adjacent to Miami International Airport (MIA), this resort has seen considerable investment under the current ownership of Trump Golf, including the renovation of the Blue Monster, Golden Palm and Red Tiger golf courses by architect Gil Hanse. Great Surprise
Love the layout is the second hardest course at Doral but not impossible. Only the green on number 5 was not perfect and has some dirt. All the the other 17 are in perfect shape. I got 30 minutes of a lot of rain and you couldn’t tell after. Pace of play was great. The food cart never went by. I have play red and blue but silver was the most fun
Golden Palm
Played the Golden Palm a few days ago and it was phenomenal. Not a blade of grass out of place. Love the privacy on the property.. tired of playing thru housing developments. Can’t wait to get back
Great condition
A bit pricey but worth it. Trumps courses are always in great shape. Perfect greens
Grounds crew was really distracting
I’ve been going to the Trump for a while now and have never experienced what I experienced today. Grounds crew was all over the place operating in the middle of your swing, it was very distracting. I had one guy crank up his engine behind me while I was making a birdie putt. Very poor today, just feel you should teach them proper golf etiquette. I understand they have a job to do but it was just too much.
Well laid out
Course in great shape. The greens had sand topdressing but still enjoyable..
The courses and property was in tremendous conditions along with cleanliness
Tremendous condition. Clean staff was courteous Definitely will return to play
Doral
Terrific facility a real treat to play it
It’s truly like being at a private club
Trump knows how to make courses great
Great Track!
Great course design, wide fairways but lots of water. Have your yardages dialed in, lot of sharp drop offs long off the green.
Golf skills test
Course was in great shape. Ring your ‘A’ game in windy conditions
Breathtaking!
Originally booked the gold course for my birthday, when I checked in, it was the most magnificent layout and grounds I had ever seen! Was then given my military discount which slashed the price in half! The person who absolutely made it the best day for me was Paulo, was the kindest on the course! Got upgraded to the Blue Monster! He went out of his way to make me feel special, and I will always remember the experience because of him! Course was pristine to say the least, green fast and perfect! Will definitely return with the guys to show them this course! Don not miss out!!!
A Monster but worth it
The Blue Monster was a great challenge, a bucket list course for me. We played in August on a Monday morning, so the fee was only $129, so for that it’s an incredible value to play such an iconic course. Was a bit weird dealing with the COVID protocols, wearing mask in the pro shop and nobody helping you with the bag drop (you definitely want to drop your bag at the drop before parking, as it’s a long walk from parking lot, then grab it on way to the clubhouse check in area, as you can’t drive the cart back there to load up. Trust me!) But that doesn’t tarnish the experience. Keep it in the fairway as the rough is deceptively hard to find your ball in, and the steepness of the slopes from greens to water makes any shots over or just off the green a surprising lost ball into water or rough!
Top notch
Like everything in life you get what you pay for. While not cheap if you want top notch golf and willing to pay a premium this is the spot in Miami. Very friendly starter with ample tees, markers and h2o. Conditions were excellent. Greens and fairways were firm, fast and true. Fun and challenging layout with a few risk reward holes. Zero complaints. I hope to return soon.
Embarrassing conditiions
Absolutely horrible conditions. Actually punished for being in the fairway. The fairways were nonexistent. Like playing off of mud. More dirt than grass. You needed to roll it to the rough to get a decent lie. Embarasssing conditions for a course of this caliber. It should not be open for play. Go play two 9s at Greynolds Park. Save your money and play on a course in better condition. Disgusted.
