World Golf Village

To start off, I played "tpc sawgrass stadium course" exactly one week prior to king and bear and was still in shock and awe from that....

With that in mind, I still was completely thrilled and impressed with this course. Staff was extremely accesible at any moment and were extremely courteous to myself and guest. (Was my first time playing here.)

Conditions were pristine and that was after a nigh and early morning of florida rain on the course. Greens were splendid.

Wish there were some extra complimentary apples on 1 and 10 but it was still a great experience. A more costly outing for the "weekend golfer" but is absolutely a course i will frequent on special holidays and birthdays as a gift!

Also, the cold towles stored in mango left a wonderful impression on me. ITS THE LITTLE THINGS!

GO PLAY IT ATLEAST ONCE!

The course overall was in good shape except for a lot of the sand traps needed attention, such as putting in sand. Once a sand shot was hit, wet sand or dirt woould come up and the surface under the shot was hard because of the lack of sand.

Has a lovely layout which will test all levels of golfer.

Took advantage of a free Golf Now Rewards deal and played the course with two gentlemen from "across the pond". As always, this course is meticulously maintained and just enough of a challenge to keep the game interesting. Take advantage of the iced apples in the barrel on Hole 1 and 10.

Its been over 5 years since I last played the King and Bear and it was the same then as now. Superb condition course as you would expect from the World Golf Village. Greens was the best I putted on this year. Although it was packed and the round was long, it was certainly enjoyable and the marshals kept things. Moving a must play if you are visiting the Jacksonville area.

Friend and I got a great Golf Now Hot Deal for the course, Lucky us, had a great round, excellent pace, super friendly staff from start to finish. Will play again!

the course is in pretty good condition, but they had put some top dressing on the greens the morning I played. It didn't mess with your putting too much.

We had a great time here and when we did not have our driving licence the friendly staff escorted us from the gate to the course and back which was much appreciated. We found the course in great shape and fun to play, we will definitely recommend to anybody coming to the area to play it.

From the moment that I arrived, the cart people, inside staff and the starter were very helpful. The course the layout was great. Would play this course again.

We played the King and the Bear course and were very pleased. The staff was outstanding, from the guys at the bag drop, to the pro-shop staff, starter, and cart girl. The only slight miscue was the ranger on the course, who, while pleasant, seemed unable/unwilling to engage one 4-some that was holding up 3 groups behind with their slow play. Fortunately that 4-some took a longish break at the turn and we were all able to slide by them.

Course conditions were great. Greens had been punched 5 or 6 weeks ago and were still just a little grainy, but other than that, the course was pristine. The layout was challenging with a good mix of longer holes and some very good risk/reward short holes. A lot of water and sand, so keep it straight off the tee. Fortunately, the fairways are generous and the greens were receptive to a well struck approach. No GPS on the cart so I highly recommend spending the $7 to buy a yardage book to keep you out of trouble off the tee.

We chose the King and Bear course over the Slammer and Squire because it was a bit longer and rated a bit more difficult for our group of low single-digit players. Having said that, the course was very playable and less skilled players won't find it punishing if played from the tees that best suit their game.

We'll absolutely be back.

The course is fun and fair. They had punched the greens and tee boxes recently and did not include this information in an aeration alert on GolfNow. I think the courses should be put on notice when this happens as it is unfair to those of us who use the service. Otherwise, no problems. Beautiful course.

Great round with excellent service. The course was in terrific shape. The layout was challenging but very playable.

The temperature was above 98. Hot!!!! The course was great as there were very few players because of the weather and also in perfect condition. They had a huge barrel of chilled in ice apples at the 10th tee for refreshments which I considered an unexpected pleasure. Throughout the round they had an ambassador riding around offering chilled towels to cool down. Both these gestures were free and were beyond what one might expect therefore justifying the higher price charges. I would definitely play there again through GolfNow.com. The regular rates were a bit stiff for me as I'm retired.

the marshall should be more proactive to advise slow players, otherwise play was good.

Enjoyed the layout. The course had been aerated 2 weeks before which I knew. Obviously greens were not in normal shape. Will play again. Like the chilled apples after 9 holes. Awesome practice facility. Would not pay full price to play....worth playing for the Golf Now discounted pm price.

Great course to play. Just went through the airarization process so the course was not in its best condition but great views and super friendly staff makes up for a great day. My wife and I always enjoy this course and we will continue to play here in the future!

Nice course although just airified. Saw the beverage cart for the first time on 8th hole. She said she would see us on the back nine and we never saw her again!!!

Great experience! Great design and in immaculate shape. The greens were a little bumpy due to aeration approximately 2 weeks ago, but not a problem. Thanks to golf now we paid $64.00 instead of $129.00!

Green were aerated and sanded but other than that a must play.

I played king&bear with my dad a few days ago and was very impressed. The course had been aerated about ten days before so it was still recovering but we knew about this going and it was to th point that the course was very playable. I've played enough golf to see past the fact that is it undergoing routine work and realize this is definitely one of the top courses I've played. Will play again for sure. Being the only course designed by jack and arnie this is clearly a unique experience.
