Callaway Lake Course
Staff was friendly and very informative. The course was in good shape but the greens were on the slow side. A lot of the green were fronted by traps needing a high shot to clear the traps and stop fast. Pace of play was great and we finished the course in three hours. Of course we were a twosome with no one in front of us. Overall a very good course.
Good course shady staff
I played here the Saturday after Thanksgiving with my granddaughter and 2 other family members. Had a great day but in my haste to get my granddaughter home for her birthday party I left a shark quarter zip in our cart. Upon arriving home and realizing what I had done I called back to the course. The girl who answered in the pro shop verified with the bag drop guys that they had my jacket. She said they would bring it to the pro shop so I could get it next time I play. When I checked in this past Saturday nobody knew anything about it. Obviously my fault but would hope for better results from a course of this level. Disappointing to say the least.
Very pretty and relaxing.
Lake course is fun and a neat layout. Good shape! The Mountain course is much longer and more difficult. The mountain course greens had a few issues but looks like there handling things. Unless your a good golfer then try the lake course first. Great place to play and eat. Highly recommended.
Nice course layout, but conditions could have been better.
The course lay out was great. It had great views with challenging holes. They were all different from each other and didn't feel like you were playing the same hole over and over. The only negative I have about the course was the green conditions. They were very slow and bumpy. They had a few dead patches in some of the greens. Normally that would turn me off from a course, but the layout was very nice and fun so it kept me interested. It did rain a couple days before so that is why they may not have been cut, but even if they were fresh cut, they would have still been on the slower side.
Always a great day at Callaway!
Even after a heavy rain, the courses in phenomenal condition, the greens were silky, smooth I’ll be at a little slow for this time of year, but still fantastic.
We had a great time, and definitely will be returning!
Golf now app is broken
Was in the middle of booking while in parking lot of course for $18 on a hot deal, app froze , had to close out reopen now charged $75 for same.. smh.. last time using this janky app for sure.. course is in decent shape .. but never would pay this rate here for sure.. not a resort level course for this price by any means..
Always gives us a relaxing round
Great greens. Well maintained. My wife loves this place. I can ask no more.
Worth it
It’s great to see the course in great shape again. A few spots on some of the greens but overall very good. A bit of a hike from metro Atlanta but you’ll be glad you went.
