Donkey
Greens were slow with bald spots, fairways were more dirt than grass and t/boxes were in terrible shape! The course was not worth $40 and sure was not worth $95! I am sure not going to play the course again!
Not good
This Course could and should,be,in much better shape. Cart path only is not going to fix it. And certainly not worth the money in its condition and cart path only. A waste of money redoing all the grass last year. Only positive is that the greens roll nice.
Pace of play is awful
My tee time was at 10:08. The starter had me wait for over half an hour to pair me with someone. They refuse to let me play as a single even though there was no one to pair me with. Groups in front of me were hitting 10 balls per person on each hole, which I know the course can’t help but this was multiple groups. Course conditions were mediocre. Greens were in nice shape but very slow. Most tee boxes were in good shape but a few were entirely covered in sand. Most of the staff was very helpful and kind.
April 2025
The revamped course needs some more time to develop but overall in nice shape.
Expected better
Not a bad course. We just expected better. Personnel were very helpful and courteous. Restaurant was more like bar food island style. Greens had some bald spots. Pace of play slow (for us). Fairways normal for a sand based course. Not a bad layout. Locals very friendly and welcoming to the course. We never got a chance to play other courses so we cannot compare others in the area.
Not good
It is still cart path only on all holes. The grass has not grown in. Tees were bad and fairways only slightly better. Greens about the only part that was ok -rolled pretty good. After the renovation last year it should be in much better condition. All this does not justify the $95 dollars to play it. Should be discounted until these issues are fixed.
Nice Greens
The course is set up for different abilities. Keep it in play and score well.
Greens are hard and fast. Hit high approach shots and you should hold the green, if not you should think about landing short and running up.
Looking forward to playing again.
Maybe just bad timing
Pace of play was an obstacle. Single player in cart should be waived thru a foursome walking and looking for balls in the woods.
Plan on lots of waiting in afternoon
We’ve played this course several times and the pace of play has been slow, but not as slow as this time. With a 3:40 tee time, we didn’t tee off until 2:50. There were two foursomes ahead of us that included obvious non-golfers. The one immediately in front of us spent much more than the regulation 3 minutes looking for balls on the second hole, so caused a backup right from the beginning. The course needs an on course ranger. Since our “home” course is impeccably maintained (and notably challenging) with rangers on busy days, I’m basing my comparison on that experience. However, at the end of the 18th hole (which we didn’t play as we ran out of time before the 7 pm closing), was a sign that noted “Pace of play, 4.5 hours.” The course and greens were in fairly good condition with fewer damage from the resident armadillos than last year.
Great Course!
Newly renovated! Great condition !
Beautiful day ! I think they are trying to preserve fairways! It was cart path only !
Cart Path Only
Had I known they still are not letting carts out. I would not have booked and paid for a cart and chosen to walk instead.
Pace of play
Everything was great really enjoyed the course… my only two things was the pace of play was slow and wish they offered more or better stuff from the cart lady beside that it was awesome
Pine Lakes
One of my favorite seaside courses just got better with an extensive re-do over the past two years. I like it even more now!
Typo in review. Tee time was 2:40, not 3:40.
