About Sapelo Hammock Golf Club

Sapelo Hammock Golf Club is a semi-private golf club on the Georgia coast, about an hour's drive south of Savannah. The golf club and community has a small amount of guest accommodations onsite, highlighted by The Eagle's Nest, a two-bedroom unit located above the clubhouse and overlooks the Georgia marsh. There are additional two and three-bedroom units overlooking the 4th fairway.

Burn Out

The layout has a lot of potential. But it needs water badly. Tees are dust bowls and some fairways are cow pastures. Staff and members are super friendly, but the track is simply not worth 88.00. I'm curious to see what the conditions will be like in June.

Very friendly people. Food good. Thin grass around greens hard to chip due to time of year. Good greens. Nice layout. Gnat problem would most likely keep me from playing again.

Good Course, Reasonable Rates

Green fees have shot up so much in the last few years in the Golden Isles. This is one of the few courses that still has reasonable rates. New carts this year. New Tee Markers.Greens were in excellent shape. It is an interesting course. We will,play here many times this year. Highly recommended.

Course in great condition. Would have given it an excellent if it not for the tee boxes being a little bare but it is winter and we did just have a rare freeze event.
