Good layout
Played the Beach/Kings course. Only #6 on the Beach nine was along the ocean, but still a fun layout. Greens were a little rough and slow.
Kings was also a good layout, with nicer greens. Of course I will remember the Kings, since I had an ace on #3!.
Both courses have pretty generous fairways, so the lava is not in play, except for errant tee shots.
Overall, a nice course, with good amenities and excellent staff!
Wind is Not My Friend
Beautiful course with a great layout, but very challenging when you are facing 35-40 mph winds.
The course is well maintained the the staff are excellent
Basic course, but worth it
Some reviews amaze me- we didn't experience any of what the last 2 reviews did- greens were not slow, pace was 4 hours , greens rolled fine, service was great- we had no complaints
good for everyone
there is a good course for the value of rate, but the green
is slow.
Save your money
I paid for myself and my partner to play this course. It was such a terrible experience that it prompted me to write my first review ever. The drive in shows some red flags ie cars being broken into etc. the clubhouse was sub par as was the bar. You are paying country club rates to play what I view as a municipal course. The greens were in pretty rough shape but we were still willing to give it a go. The play was so slow 10-30 minute wait on every tee box that we decided to quit after the 6th hole. We talked to the head person there as we quit and we’re told there was nothing they could do for us including comping a future round (which wouldn’t have mattered because I’m not going back). Between the condition/ the neighborhood/ the facilities/ the pace of play and the terrible customer service you’d be better off playing any other course on the island and I’ve played most of em. Aloha..
Nice track, odd bunker material
Fun course, forgiving wide fairways. The only odd thing was bunker material was so similar to pebbles not sand.
Washroom closed/no warning
Great course buttttt- would have been nice to know the mens+womens washroom were out of service!!
Limited “outside options.”
Clubhouse staff was not aware apparently.
Too Windy to Score consistently
Get ready to work on your game into the wind, with the wind, sideways with the wind. Great practice for windy shot making.
It was blowing so hard I thought the flags might snap in half. Golf balls vibrated in the wind when putting. A few times the wind let up, but the rest of the day was a challenge.
Had fun anyway. Not courses fault.
Perfect!
From check in to finish - amazing staff, driving range, (ice bucket , complimentary waters😊)and auxiliary staff with clubs/carts-super friendly.
Windy
First two holes were great then the winds came. 25-40 mph for the next 12 holes then we couldn’t take it anymore and we bailed. We would come back but only if we could be assured the winds would stay down at WaikoBLOWa
Good value for the money!
This is a nicely laid out course with interesting holes and some great views of the ocean and mountains. The staff was very welcoming and we saw the food and beverage cart twice. We appreciated the great pace of play - the player’s assistant was ensuring everyone was happy - and we were finished in 3 hours, 40 minutes. The wind picked up quite vigorously, so some shots were tricky, but I would love to play here again on our next trip!
It's a fun course with great scenery and ups and downs, but it's a pity that the wind was too strong today to enjoy it.
I will also challenge .
