Golfnow screwed up
You allowed me to book when the course was closed for a tournament. Had to wait 2 hours for the tourrny to finish. Major inconvenience
Accessible Hawaiian Golf Course
On vacation without my clubs. Had not planned to play because Hawaii is notoriously expensive & challenging. Found a great deal on Golf Now, so went for it. We had so much fun. I’m a relatively new golfer, and found this course to be manageable & not overwhelming. My husband is an excellent golfer & enjoyed it as well. The rental clubs we used were outstanding. This is a fun, well managed course. We had great weather and only a little wind.
Nice Coirse
We played the village course 11 years ago on our first visit to the big island. Several of the courses we played back then have gone down hill but the Village Course at Waikoloa did not disappoint. Course was in great shape with fairly fast greens and all was in great condition. Didn’t remember the bunkers being very small pebbles instead of sand but found them easy to hit out of the couple times I found an errant shot in them. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Wish we had played it earlier in our stay as we would have played it again but alas we have to go back to the cold tomorrow.
Fairways and tees were good greens were ok a little bumpy but fine. Overall good experience.
Above average course for price.
Would return to play again
Great course
Course was in great shape. Prepare for the wind. It was blowing at a constant 30-40 mph. According to locals it’s pretty normal for the area
Village golf
Great course, would like to play it again when it’s not so windy!. Was blowing the ball off the tee & on the green
Waikoloa Village
First time playing. We have a condo at Mauna Lani Terrace and I played there for years, but under the current management (Auberge) I have stopped playing there. Ive played Maklaii and Makani and Hapuna and I like Waikoloa Village the best, and good value. Course is well maintained and the holes are interesting. Greens are challenging in a good way - maybe a little slow but you adjust to that. Will play there as my go-to course on the Big Island.
Nice track
Staff was super friendly…used a Hot Deal so it wasn’t expensive, went out as a single, caught another single who jumped a hole to avoid a foursome-they let me play through, as did the other single-eventually hit another foursome and simply hung back-played in 3 hours flat.
Great course!
Was paired with a lovely couple that could really play! Course conditions overall were lush and green, just a couple of dry spots on a couple of fairways. A beautiful course overall. Rented clubs for the first time ever and play a full bag of brand new PXG clubs that were killer. Staff at the pro shop were friendly and cool, Johnny’s restaurant staff were also excellent! Mahalo!
