On green of 5th hole of Willow Crest Photo submitted by u642535502 on 09/08/2020
Pace of play (+5 hours) was bad with no marshal to move it along. Bunkers went from having zero sand to way too much.
Willow on Thursday
The course could use some TLC as it appears unkempt for this time of 4he year compared to other courses around. Pace of play was slow because there was no ranger.
Reasonable Cost Late Afernoon
Tee time at 4:00 PM. No hold up until the 15th hole. Finished in 3 1/2 hours.
Course in great shape.
Bad golf on a nice course
The wind was howling up to 40 mph and we all struggled on a few holes which killed out scores. Luckily we chose the shorter Gold tees as the course plays about 300 yds longer than the scorecard indicates (as it's only a par 70). This is as close to a private country club setting as you will find. The course is very hilly, in great condition, and has some interesting holes. The greens were fast and sloped and led to several 3 puts and even 1 four putt. The negatives are the lack of a driving range (only a net to hit into), and the $9 Yeungling beers in the restaurant.
Nice course live the greens but terrible sand traps alot of thin gravel not so much sand
Fun day!
Tee Box
Tee boxes contained many divots. On several holes, the tee box markers were placed on a slight angle leaving the ball slightly under (right side of tee box) or above your feet (left side of tee box. The width of some tee boxes was very narrow.
The rest of the course was in great shape, greens and traps especially.
Early Season but Good Conditions
Great course--challenging. Course in good shape although greens were a bit slow due to rain and maybe not being cut recently.
Early Round
Course was in decent shape but soggy after much rain. It is a great layout with some really challenging holes. Course was empty and we finished round in 3 hours. Service was good.
Look forward to playing next year.
The course was in excellent shape considering the rain the previous two days.l Little or no leaves, ruff not too high and the sand traps had plenty of good sand. The par 5’s are long as well as many of the par 4’s. Thoroughly enjoy our round.l
