Loads of FUN
Played with my Father and one of my Sons we had a great time.
Nice Course, Great People
Visit General Burnside Island and enjoy a great course. Well laid out in a great location ,staffed with helpful and friendly people. The course has many changes in elevation. You will use most clubs in your bag. Greens are very good.
Wet course
This course stays moderately wet all the time. Having played this course many times I know where to get on the fairway to avoid making a mess of the fairways. We were not told that it was cart path only today. We were playing out of the rough and a ranger came up and told us it was cart path only. We said Ok and he ran through the fairway messing it totaly up. Go figure!!!!!!
Could not play
Tried to cancel 3 minutes after getting tee time but I guess that is impossible.
Just let it go so Vets can have a donation.
Will probably not use this site again.
Beautiful course!
Course was in immaculate shape!! Highly recommend!
Staff
Greeted by a very helpful and friendly golf manager. Will be visiting again soon.
Challenging
What a great course. Challenging layout. Undulating fairways. Gorgeous scenery.
Better drive it straight and be ready for very few label shots. It makes you play most of your clubs and different type of shot.
Play it if you can
Beautiful course
Last played here about a year ago. It was good then too. Only issue is the bunkers, but they are working on them. Greens, fairway, and tee boxes are great. New carts too. This is a beautiful golf course. Well worth the trip (for me, 2 hours) I highly recommend playing here. You won't be disappointed.
Good value
Course setup is nice and conditions were good. It was wide open in terms of pace of play. On 2nd or 3rd hole, noticed a bunker as a darker grey. I assumed it was just wet sand. To my surprise, when I got up there, it was gravel! Maybe that's a normal thing, but there was no warning of this when paying at the clubhouse or signage. Other than that, no complaints about the course, and got me away from wife's extended family!
Though course
3 par 5s on front 9. Fun but challenging first visit. Enjoyed the views though.
The course was very wet I understand golf cart path only.. well only play again in dry weather. Don’t understand why we could not use rest rooms inside, all other courses we have played did not restrict us to outside.
Good shape
The greens rolled true. Tee boxes and fairways are nice. New carts. Some sand traps are unplayable, some are very good with new white sand. A common complaint on most courses around here. Virus conditions were observed with single player carts, sanitizing after each round, no entrance in the pro shop. Good day.
