Good layout. Good greens. Friendly staff. Disappointed that I didn't know fairways were not grown in and in bad shape. Feel that the price was high for a Wednesday morning in April and based on the condition of the fairways.
Great Course
My favorite course in the are. Great scenes, lots of trees and fun to play. Adrian
FORE
First time here and enjoyed it...played the first 6 in one hour then got behind a very slow group and the next 12 holds took 4 hours...BOO...the course was challenging and fun to play...I’d recommend you give it a shot
Excellent Golf Course
I love playing this golf course. It is one of my favorite courses in Kentucky. Playing now gives me an appreciation for when it is perfectly green, but the course is still beautiful and plays well. I am considering buying a membership
Beautiful course
Some of the greens were covered in leaves. Green keeper didn't blow them all off first thing. But is most of the time in top shap.
Great course
Challenging but with strategy, good scores are possible
Nice
We played in damp conditions and had to look longer for balls but overall very nice
Beautiful Course
Especially nice course for the dollar. Very enjoyable, no matter what your score is.
Fun Sunday
Got paired up with a great group of guys and had a good time.
The course was in good shape but leaves did eat 2 balls near the fairway, but that happens this time of year
The greens could have been blown off but, it's fall.
Slow play
Being fall you can't expect leaves to be on the fairways and greens which will cause slow play. However, it took nearly 20-25 minutes to play each hole. I ended up leaving after 9 holes due to the slow play.
This is a good course to play and is good value. It was just a bad experience this time.
Nice course, Beautiful layout.
Greens are a bit slow but many holes are challenging and fun.
Difference in the greens
The only complaint is that the greens on the front 9 had been air raided and the greens on the back had not. Got used to hitting putts more firm and had to readjust on the back nine.
Fun Course
I have played My Old KY Home several times. The layout is varied with beautiful tree-lined fairways and challenging greens. Pace of play is not bad but can be on Saturdays in the summer.
Looking forward to round two
The course was in good shape for the most part. A couple of the greens were spotty, but most in good shape and FAST. The course definitely favors those who play it more than once since there are numerous shots that require precision and the thick rough is a real penalty for the golfer that strays too fare off line. It offers lots of elevation changes and a variety of lies- never dull. The course was fairly crowded when we arrived, but the foursomes ahead were King and let out twosome play through. We were done in 3.75 hours. I'd give it 4.5 stars.
Bardstown is a great getaway with much to see and do (especially for the bourbon fan). Definitely worth the hour trip from Louisville.
