Tanglewood Golf Course

the course was in fantastic shape for this time of the year there was no leaves blown around the course the greens was in great shape with wide fringes it's a hilly course with a lots of hillside shots a tough that will eat your lunch

This course could have been great destination course. Everything was leaning that way. In walks Allen Hayes. In just a short 10 short months he runs off his entire staff. Puts all his trust in a chef that doesn't serve 25 meals a week. And now he's closing the doors. This is a guy with absolutely no golf experience nor any food and beverage experience. Won't listen to anyone that knows the industry. His arrogance is is downfall. And now he his closing his doors. This man has not only destroyed a golf course and restaurant, but heavily damaged an entire community. I hope nothing but the worst for this man.

I've always enjoyed playing at Tanglewood especially midfall coming to 10 11 and a few other ones that you can overlook the back side of the country and the colors of the trees it was late Summer and the greens were in the best condition most of that's because people don't know how to fix their divots anymore and have proper golf etiquette but overall I'm always happy to go to Tanglewood

I already left one review but I can’t believe how bad it was we went to play there for my bday and it was so bad 9:12 tee time we showed up and there were two four somes on the first tee with a double behind them waiting on someone they let anyone go whenever it seems don’t disregard the reviews for here it really is awfully ran the owner should be ashamed and golf now should take this off their site

We came up for my bday to play a new course we do it every other weekend and this is one of the worst in ky for pace of play we have found they let off however many people off at one time tee times don’t matter first come first serve but they never said anything about it we played 9 and it took us 3 hours so we left and went and played a full 18 at home in the time it would’ve taken us lol bad owners I’d say they have no clue how to run this place

Worst golf course I’ve ever played. Wouldn’t come here until they get a staff that honors a tee time. We had a 10:30am tee time. Show up at 10:10. There’s 8 groups already on the tee box waiting. The front desk people said “it’s become, first come, first serve.” Took us 3 hours to play 7 holes. We didn’t even finish the front 9. We left. Won’t be back. Save your money

Nice course. Good for the money. However the pace of play is very very slow. I’ve seen as many as 9 people in one group (5-6 is common). It doesn’t seem to be regulated at all in terms of pace of play.

A good value. The course layout is tough. They had scrambles going on that day, and the pace was slow, but they warned us it would be.

Greens and Fairways well maintained... I wasn't to thrilled when the sprinklers were timed to go off while we were playing but the greens were in good shape. Very busy weekend with Father's day, so I imagine the speed of play would be different on other days.

Also the only course I've ever played at that didn't have a driving range. I wish that could have been there as I definitely needed the extra practice.

Course was in good shape. Greens were excellent. Tough to play for first time due to many blind shots and lots of sloped fairways.

When Matt Puckett was there this course was top notch. The new owner ( with no experience in golf or food and beverage steps in and wants to change everything.) Well the change was for the worst. The fees and the restaurant are a joke. Allen, you had the best in the business and threw it away. You will be closed within a year due to your stupidity. It's a shame, that place has a ton of opportunities. But will never go anywhere with you at the helm. Don't waste your money here. Go to Henry County country club.
