Tanglewood Golf Course

Not a bad pace of play for a busy Saturday. Rough was a bit thick likely due to recent rain. Greens were soft, a bit slow, again likely due you recent rain. The course layout takes advantage of and accentuates the terrain. Managing the slopes of the fairways is key to a good round here. Have always enjoyed playing here, will be back.

First time playing and was very happy to try it with the things I've heard.

But one thing may keep me from ever playing again. The ownership allowed a group of 30 to play in 4 groups at 9am on a saturday (7-8 people per group).... For any standard golfer including myself a round should take 3-4 hours. We were out there for 6 hours because they didnt want to tell the group to try another day or split up into smaller groups.

Im glad the group brings money to the course but allowing that ruined everyones day behind them.

Fun layout, nice staff, tough course especially when the grass is dead. But that alone was unprofessional and shouldve been handled better. Not worth the risk of driving as far as most people do to play it but not all bad.

Carts are pretty outdated too but i understand the budgets of golf courses in 2022

Tanglewood did not have many flat lies but that kept it interesting. Excellent player friendly greens ( most courses use a roller too much ) they were very receptive to a shot. Most courses have their greens so hard it does not reward an excellent shot.

Tanglewood is a hilly, challenging layout. Nice layout. Greens are good, but a tad bit slow. Very beautiful natural setting.

It was a fun time. Ended up playing frontside twice. It seems the course has a stay and play option. The gentleman that were in front of us was not feeling any pain and having a boisterous good time. Wish I was in their group. They were slow. It appeared that they all gathered at the tenth tee to watch everyone in their groups tee shots. They were slow.

We are high handicap golfers so my buddies don’t enjoy this course as much because it is very hilly and difficult to navigate, however, great course and the condition is very nice.

The course was in fantastic shape, only disappointment was they didn't have drinking water out on the course.

Not sure I’ve ever seen anything like it. Scheduled a tee time for 3:30 on a Friday through the app. Assumed when I showed up I would be able to tee off at 3:30. How wrong was I. At about 3:15 there were 12 or more carts waiting in line at the first tee. One group was probably 6-7 people deep. Another 4some. And in front of us was a group of 8. Pretty sure they worked there or knew the people working so they just hopped on without a care. The longest round of golf I’ve ever played, and an older gentleman even expressed his disinterest with us as we waited patiently behind them on the first tee. Would not recommend nor will I ever go back.

The course was in pretty good shape. Greens were faster than I remembered. Just be prepared to hit off of hills. Almost every fairway is on a hill. You can hit what you may think is a perfect drive and end up 10+ yards off the fairway. But all in all, very nice course especially for the price.

I play tnis course quite often. Its the best value in the area by far. The course condition has improved year after year. With the condition yesterday being the best I've seen it. You can't beat it for the price.
