About Shanty Creek
The 5,000 acres of Shanty Creek Resorts are spread among three villages - Cedar River, Schuss and Summit, each with at least one golf course, restaurant and accommodations galore. The Summit is arguably home base with the Lakeview Lodge housing the Lakeview Restaurant, the spa and the Legend and Summit golf courses. Great Course
The course was in great condition because of recent rain fall. The fairways were clean, the greens were fair and quick. The fairways had ample room to hit one side or the other (who hits the middle!). From the white, a couple holes were long - 411 par four, and 510 par 5 - us old people have trouble hitting the green in regulation on the par 4. One par 5 was only 418 but needed the hits to be in the right place.

An upnorth favorite
This is a beautiful scenic court with plenty of changes in elevation. Also has a full practice area to work in your game. Holes can be challenging but aren’t tricked out. This a regular stop for us when we are in the area.

A great track!
The course was in very good shape and has a nice layout. Not overly challenging for a high handicap golfer like me, but still plenty challenging. Staff was friendly and helpful, from starter to ranger to snack shop to beer cart girl. A beautiful day! Can't wait to play again.

Amazing day! 4.7🌟 course. Conditions we’re perfect; pace of play was amazing finishing under 4 hrs.
Layout of the 18 holes ia optimal for all golfing levels.
Disappointed the grille wasn’t open. 1/2 way house was open.
Really enjoyed the day! Staff aurora friendly and welcoming.

Integrated shaping
The dynamic created in fairways and approaches by the contours, shaping and park like elements play well in achieving the green. Some blue tee-boxes can drive 300+ yards when struck in the sweet spot, thanks to downhill mounds and kick bonuses found in landing areas. Well played Hawks Eye 🦅

Course was in good shape. Friendly and courteous staff. Unfortunately it started raining and then thunderstorms after nine holes. We were given nine hole rain voucher. Sooty we couldn’t finish!
