Good round
They had had lots of rain and the course was a little wet but really enjoyed it.
Now open all 18 holes. Played longer than the yardage because of wind and wet fairways. Greens excellent, medium-fast, but true. Friendly staff. Good value as a Golf Now "Hot Deal".
Typical
It's the typical problem inexpensive courses, overplayed and under maintenance. No grass in the fairways, we were actually better off playing out of the rough. All in all it was fine but nothing that I would drive out of the way to go to.
Nice course
Good layout , kinda blew that it was cart path only being hilly . Carts had GPS which is always a plus. I would play again
Should have went elsewhere
For my first time playing Pointe Royale, I was extremely disappointed with the fairways. Way too much dirt and rough patches in what should have been grass. It seemed to be consistent throughout the 18 holes and the pace of play was very slow with no sign of a course Marshall. I will not return to this course until things improve.
Point Royale, Branson, MO
Enjoyed the course a lot. Paired with a couple of similar skills and interest. Would play again when in the area.;
Very nice course!
This was our first time golfing this course. Will play it again when in the area. Although there are homes on both sides of almost every hole, they weren't an issue with play. Staff was excellent at check-in!
Excellent value- great staff
The course was a good challenge for a duffer like me and the first time out for the year.
The staff was very accommodating and friendly.
I will definitely play there again as well as recommend to my friends.
No Water
It would have been nice if someone had let me
know there was no water to drink on the course. Game went south when dehydration set in.
Spring break
We played this course on the off season so the ground was a little hard and not much grass yet. It was a great deal for the money we paid. The greens were challenging and it was very hilly. It's a pretty short course, but would definitely play again.
Great course, not extremely long
Course still had the winter feel(brown grass, tight lies) but it was very well maintained and the greens were in excellent shape. We played the blue tees and although not long, almost every shot requires precision or you can be left in the wrong spot for the next one. I'm looking forward to playing this course in the late spring and summer. I would highly recommend this course to anyone.
First time
Enjoyed this course. Narrow fairways and many blind shots due to hilly topography makes tee shot accuracy important. Appreciate GPS on cart. It's mid March so grass still dormant. I'm sure it's a beautiful course when everything greens up. Will play it again on my next visit to the area. Maybe next time I'll see a Branson celebrity.
Challenging Course; Elevation Changes Challenges Club Selection
Played on March 7, 2017. It rained the night before, so it was "Carts On Path Only". Prior to the rain, there were Fire Alerts in the area because it was so dry. "Cart Path Only Rule" slowed play down unnecessarily. Except for a very few low spots, the course was still dry as a bone. It was sunny and very windy. The high winds along with elevation changes made the course very challenging. Overall, a nice course, would play here again. One Note: Don't forget to have tees in your bag. I needed tees, so I bought a small bag- for FIVE BUCKS! I could have bought a giant box of tees at Walmart for $5 that would last me ten years. Needless to say, I didn't check on any of their other "amenities".
Good value
Good value. Course in great shape for March. Friendly professional staff. I played 4 courses while in Branson and this was the best all around.
Better Courses in Branson
After playing three awesome courses in Branson, Ledgestone, Branson Hills, and Buffalo Ridge, this course was a disappointment. I guess you get what you pay for.
Fun course
If you like tree lined courses with water and sand you will love this course. I'm an older guy so played from the white tees. A challenge but enjoyable experience. I'm going back Friday.
