Course needs Alot of repair
We have played these courses since 2010. Always looked forward to coming back.
Desert looks completely unplayable. Zero grass on fairways and greens 90% dead.
Lakes course looks like it is recovering from a really tough case of fungus in greens. Fairways are patchy and bare in spots but looks like grass is on its way back.
Many trees on this property are cut down and laying where they fell. Lots of clean up needed.
All bunker have lots of small rocks in the sand.
Hopefully ownership cares about these courses enough to hire qualified staff to get it back to a level of condition and set up that is reasonable. Lots of work is needed.
Not worth the drive from LV
I should have listened to the recent review. The course condition especially the greens are terrible. I’m surprised once we started the round. The course should be taken out of your list.
You’ve been warned
As you’ve read the greens are absolute trash. If TinCups driving range had a putting green it would be better. Aside from the obvious, let’s be straight here. There are NO grounds keepers. Oh they have guys that mow. But to havee tree branches with 2” thorns over hanging the cart paths, you’re now talking about losing an eye.
It’s a straight up abandoned golf course at this point.. . There ain’t a soul with any training overseeing this course..
Vacation Golf
Course in good shape for early March - Greens in much better shape than last November - Good value for the money
Course conditions
This course is in terrible shape. The greens are awful. They should close the course until the course is playable.
Good course
I've played there before when the conditions were better. Not bad though for the time of year. Greens not in too good of shape. Fairways a little rough too. I like the course so much that that didn't matter.
Course closed
Headed out from Vegas for 11:00 am tee time. Hit a huge logjam
at Primm because they closed the highway due to poor road conditions much further up the highway. Fought traffic for a while but the road opened up just in time to make our tee time only to find the course was closed. Hoping the refund is on its way. Playing the course next day and will leave another review.
Winter wind and cold
We were pleasantly surprised by the conditions, especially since it's winter and poor conditions are expected. It was in good shape, with lots of grass, and the improvements made over the past year are very obvious. Kudos to the grounds keepers & mgmt staff. The near 100mph winds 2 days earlier had downed over 100 large trees on the course, but they had obviously worked feverishly to clear most of them enough to allow play. Despite the cold, cloudy and windy weather, we really enjoyed the round.
Excellent course. Greens need to green up but rolled true. Definitely play it again!!
Sad decline
This course had a great layout and I’ve always enjoyed that. Having said that the greens are horrible. Half grass and half green sand. Fairways are just a little better than the greens. It’s a shame because this is a cool place to play. Wish they’d. Put more care into it. Desert course is almost lost as they struggle with green and fairway issues. Bummer
It was a cold day….
Greens were being brought back nicely. Needs about 1 month of good weather. Course layout is great. Staff was great as well. Well worth the drive, not that far out of town. I would definitely recommend and play it again
Hopefully, a Return to Normal Soon
It’s a shame the courses here lost their greens and are in such tough shape. The layouts of both courses are excellent, and while the Lakes course is playable, it’s sad to see what the fungus has done to the greens. Hopefully, the course owner(s) will get the greens back to normal next year
Great layout worth the drive
I really enjoyed this course. Great layout that was worth the drive. Greens on the Lakes course are recovering from some major problems so expect some large sanded areas and slow speed, some worse than others. The fairways are in good shape and play fast and firm. Tees and bunkers were in good condition. Staff was great and course wasn’t crowded so I flew around quick.
