Dead course
The greens are dead and so are parts of the fairway.
Worst Golf Course in Vegas
This golf course needs to close. The greens were unplayable, sand traps were dust pits, and the rough so unkept in spots that you couldn’t find your ball. Not worth the drive or the money to play there.
Terrible greens
The setting is great. The course is normally challenging. The greens really don’t exist. A lot of work is needed to make this back into the good course it once was.
WORST COURSE CONDITIONS EVER
I NEVER LEAVE REIEWS, BUT HAD TO FOR THIS COURSE. I HAVE PLAYED MUNI COURSES FOR $20.00 THAT WERE IN BETTER SHAPE THAN THIS COURSE. YOU COULD NOT CALL THE GREENS GREENS AS THERE WAS NOOOOOOO GRASS ON THEM. EVERY GREEN WAS DIRT WITH SMALL PATCHES OF GRASS/WEEDS. THEY COULD OF AT LEAST GIVEN US A HEADS UP THAT THEY HAD ISSUE WITH THE GREENS. WILL PROBABLY NEVER PLAY THIS COURSE AGAIN.
Not worth the money.
I'm surprised this course is still operational. The greens were absolutely unplayable, and the fairways were patchy. The staff made no mention of the course condition upon check it. I could tell it use to be a nice course and the layout is great, but it's not worth the 90 bucks.
What a shame
Greens were absolutely horrible, worst I've probably ever played on. I heard they had some fungus problems, but they aren't maintained, it felt like I was putting on an unmaintained country dirt road. Fairways had large areas of pure dirt, but strangely enough, the grass that was there was lush. What were once great courses have unfortunately turned horrible. I got a hot deal, and use a $10 discount, and felt like I WAY overpaid.
Course has gone downhill
Both courses were a hidden gem for so many years. Gradually they have declined over time, I’m guessing due to the high overhead costs with golf courses these days. I played the Lakes for the first time in almost a year, and unfortunately this course has turned into something that shouldn’t be open anymore. Greens were absolutely horrific. So bad that I kept thinking I was accidentally on the Desert course which was closed. Fairways were bald in patches. Shouldn’t have been opened until they at least fix the greens. I stopped putting after 3 holes.
Very disappointed
The course is in the worst shape I ever seen it. It’s a shame that they let the course get this bad . It was one of my favorite courses in the Vegas area.
Golfnow should be ashamed!!!!
Played this course on my way to the Vegas airport! Course is currently doing everything that they can to battle a fungus that has spreads to all of the green’s! Staff warned me prior to teeing off, and was super apologetic. Course pro has attempted to contact golf now to advise them to warn potential golfers, but golf now refuses to do so. Paid 120.00 for the round and quit on the 12th hole.
Putting greens are in bad shape
Course is in great shape but the greens are horrible
A total Disaster
greens had 1/2 sand and were otherwise barrenn. Teeoff should warn you ahead of time if the course is unplayable.
Not to happy with them...the course apologized but TO should let you know.
terrible and disappointed
The course looked like it had been bombed. ALL the greens had 1/2 of sand on them. I was really disappointed that Tee-off did not warn me of the course conditions ahead of time.
Greens were trash
You should have told us about the condition of the greens. I was embarrassed to bring my friend out there. It’s OK to charge $50, but you should have given is a comp to come back when the greens are in better shape. I felt like the course is going under and this was my last time to play there.
Did not specify bad green.
Golfnow did not mention about greens being re-done. Greens were not in condition to play.
Horrible greens!!!!!!
No putting what so ever!!. Greens are worse I’ve seen in 50 years!!’Not worth playing!
Call pro shop and let them tell you.
Unplayable
Course should never have been open to play. Every green was diseased, maybe 10% grass on greens. When booking on Golf Now there was no mention at all of the course condition. There should be a refund or rain check.
Wondering what miracle happened between 7/30 and 8/2. I played in may. Worse greens I'd ever seen anywhere. The other reviews seem to confirm and ongoing problem. Did this problem suddenly go away in 3 days?
