Hello MGM - THIS is the way to ruin your investment!
What was a gem of two courses way out in Primm, has been reduced to a dog-track cow-patch!
NO ONE was playing there the day I went. SIX golfers were signed up.
They sent us out on the back because of "maintainance" yet there were worked all over every hole, it seems, blind and unconcerned that paying golfers were there.
It may be time to expand that solar farm behind these courses and take over this wasted destroyed golf venue!
3 hour front 9
Extremely slow pace of play with no enforcement. A 3 hour front 9!
Playable but a little rough
The T boxes were in pretty good shape. Several fairways were missing grass in spots and just had sand in these spots. The greens had sand on them as it is apparent they are trying to get this. Course back up to snuff.
We paid 50 bucks and considering the drive and the course condition it will not be my first choice to play at this price
Winter Trip
My group has been coming out after Christmas for years. We play is any and all conditions to " make a story ". Non resident is still a bit pricey but that doesn't deter us.
Terrible Condition
I agree with everyone’s review of both golf courses. Do not waste your time or money even though you feel it is a decent deal to play either of these courses. When you go to the range with no grass, that should give you a hint of what you are in for. I would not go back and play either golf course until they have fixed their issues if it cost me nothing!! Terrible experience to say the least. Too bad because both courses have a great layout but someone needs to take it over and spend the money to make it like it used to be.
Disappointed
I have played this course several times over the last 12 years, but the last time before this was in 2017. But this year the greens were in bad shape and most of the pines trees have died that made this such a beautiful course.. I don’t know what happened but the course is no longer being kept up to the standards before.
Primm Valley - Lakes
The Primm Valley Lakes course staff was great. My buddy and I were greeted warmly and the staff in the pro shop were also great. The fairways on the Lakes course were in pretty good condition. The greens were very spotty, looking diseased in spots. Looking over at the Desert course, it looked like the fairways were in pretty bad shape.
Not the best.
Greens are in terrible shape! They have lost the greens which are mostly sand and dirt.
Horrible condition
Greens very bumpy. A lot of burned fairways. Beautiful layout. Played lakes 15 times over 12 years. Never had worse greens
Primm Valley Lakes
Tee to green course conditions were excellent. However, the greens have a ways to go to be considered decent. The greens are coming back but have a ways to go
In poor shape
We were told that the Desert course was not in good shape with several poor greens, so we were moved to the "nicer" lakes course. It was not in good shape. Very little grass on fairways, many washed out clay spots. Several greens had this issue also. Greens not in good shape. On one hole we were putting thru pure sand with zero grass for about 6 feet.
Returned and had a diff’t experience
The starter advised golfing on the Lakes course as it was in better shape. You can select appropriate yardage with tee box selections. Unfortunately the greens had many bare areas and appeared to be suffering. Given it’s a 45 min drive from the strip there may be better options but if they can improve the course conditions it would be great.
Greens were in worst shape I’ve ever seen down there. What happened????
Bad Greens on Windy Day
Course being next to the freeway, makes it very dusty when the wind blows. Although paid $44, there was a reason for it, bad greens.
Also, the restaurant is horrible, don't eat at the restaurant. There is no service. One server that is catering to the whole clubhouse!!
Greens Burt
So prior to leaving for our tee time we were informed from a friend who played the weekend before and apparently the greens were damaged by an ex disgruntled employee and set them on fire. I understand that it’s not your fault but they should have notified the public. It’s no where on the website and it’s no where on Golf Now.
