Primm Valley Resorts and Casino

Great layout, challenging but fair. Course has plenty wide fairways and offers a few risk reward plays along the way. Rough can be punishing if you miss the fairways. Playable for all skill levels.

Primm Valley has two very enjoyable courses, both designed by Fazio. The management group keeps the place looking good, Decent food in the clubhouse and a very well stocked and displayed pro shop. Friendly and helpful staff also. The only thing that bugs me is the Golf Now patrons are charged for range balls. If you don't book through Golf Now, range balls are free. The $10 I paid for range balls negates the discount. GH

This course met all my expectations. I was recommended to play this course whenever I was in the vicinity. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the course was in great condition. I definitely will return.

Love the layout. Par 3's are not the cheap types. Second rough cut makes it challenging as you need to make sure you mark you ball so you can find it. Greens were a bit sandy, but did make them sticky so you could really aim for the pin. Could use ball washers on the course but that's my opinion. Course marshals would have kept the pace moving better as the group in front must have been betting mortgage payments on every hole. Will be back.

Played the Lakes course last week. This week played the Desert course. Nicely laid out, with bunkers in play on many holes and water in play on a couple. The greens were recently punched and were still a bit rough. It was a challenging course, but fun to play. Well worth the drive from Las Vegas.
The staff, again, were outstanding!

My 2nd time playing here. Unfortunately they had just trimmed the fairways lower after over-seeding 2 weeks ago (I spoke with the course super at the turn) so there were a lot of grass trimmings on the fairways. It was also damp at 7:30 am when I started, so I just played lift clean and place whenever my ball ended up in the grass clippings. The greens are in very good shape, you can tell they were aerated recently but still ran pretty true. Sank both a 30 and 20 ft putt! Still, I love this place, one of the best values in the LV area. Pretty much had the course to myself for most of the day.

Well trained staff and very friendly. Challenging course but fun

First time down to Primm Valley. The greens had been punched recently, so putting was a challenge. Overall, the course was great. Beautiful trees line most fairways and the course was well laid out. Lisa drove me out to my truck and cleaned my clubs. She was beautiful and fun. I would like to have seen the course drinks girl another time or two.

I love playing these courses (Lakes & Desert). The pace of play is fast compared to courses in town offsetting the extra drive time. The scenery is beautiful with no houses along the course to detract from it. Free range balls, reasonable drink prices and a friendly staff make the experience that much better.

I've played both Primm courses many times over the last 15 years or so, this time the course was by far in the worst shape I have ever seen it. I expect it will be back, just caught it at a bad time! I did get a good rate so really can't complain too much.

Both courses at Primm Valley are great. Well worth the drive from N. Las Vegas. Picturesque and challenging. Not a dull hole on the course...

No complaints, had a wonderful time. Course is a jewel in the desert. The architecture of the club house is quite beautiful. A nice mixture of long and short par 4's. Absolutely will return.

Fun course that got more interesting as we continued the round. Greens seems to be 4-6 weeks out from aeration. They will be great in another 3 weeks. However the reat of the course was in great shape. My favorite overall Vegas-area course thus far. I would like to play again with non-aerated greens.

The course is preparing for overseeding, and was a little overgrown in certain areas, but still played well. If you get out on a day that they are not wetting everything constantlyconstantly, it will be a little easier out of the rough as it will swallow balls and clubs alike. Aside from that, the fairways and greens are immaculately maintained. With a 7:20 tee time, we finished almost exactly in 4 hours, and did not have problems with anyone ahead or behind us. I love the courses in Primm and am looking forward to the next time i get to play out there.

This course came highly recommended but I would never play here again. The greens were seriously the worse greens I have ever played on. The greens were infected there was very poor upkeep on the entire course.

Got caught behind 3 to 4 groups of 4 gentlemen playing what I believe was a daily tournament, so the pace was slow. Not gruesome, just slower that what I'm used to. Shot placement was a must on the day I played, cuz the 1st cut off of the fairway was cut at that length that was about an inch taller than the ball, so if you didn't follow your ball until it stopped, well let's just say that I lost a few balls that weren't bad shots. Also you're left with uneven lies. This course tested me, that's why I want to play it again. Both courses are well maintained, greens rolled true and the views were amazing.

Drove to California from Vegas, well worth the drive! Drive wasn't that much longer than what I drive to get to the courses in Houston. Excellent driving range/practice facility. Cart came with GPS and ice chest with water. Course was pretty wide open on the day I played, caught up with a twosome on the 17th hole. Course was tighter than The Lakes, but very enjoyable.

I usually don't write reviews that often,but the Staff at Primm golf course is the best I've ever seen...Its starts with the golf attendants..Aron, Mark and all the attendants that take your bags..It was a very hot day they supplied us with extra waters, they go out of their way to make you feel special,Thanks guys will be back,JH .....
