Green condition
Greens were horrible. Never seen them so bad at Primm Lakes course.
love the course but greens still need work
All facets of the course are great but the greens need some TLC. The greens are better than they were when I played last Spring, but still not up to the standards of the rest of the course. Playable, just not smooth. Staff is very friendly. Tom is awesome.
Course review
Everything was great except the greens. Very patchy and slow
Getting there!!!
The desert course is in WAY better condition, they are really working hard to get this course back to what it has been before the last few years.
There are still a few rough spots, and #2 has a temporary green, but overall I was pleased, because I came in very wary.
As a side note, the lakes course is set to reopen, and it looks like it's in pristine condition, I plan on playing it soon!
Welcome come and play for only $65.00
Welcome, did not tell us the greens were in dismall shape for the past 2 years. Litterally patches all over the green that were filled with sand and seed....looked worse than most fairways! Horrible, would never paly there again!!!
Nice Course
The staff were friendly and helpful. I played on the Desert course, the Lakes course was.closed for aeration. The pace of play was fast. The fairways were well kept, but some of the greens were kinda terrible. Overall, I would play there again and recommend the course to others.
Desolate golf
Upon arrival wondered if the place was open. The place has an empty feel, very sparse employees.
Enjoyed the range for a warm up session, inclusive.
Knowing the greens were under duress still wanted to try, well it got a bit worse. The fairways were fine, the rough was "U.S. Open caliber " alot of balls off the fairways were buried and ended up getting lost, not fun.
Greens were pretty bad, furry and "slow" and very patchy.
Most putts were one attempt and a pick up.
Layout was nice, just the conditions were hard to swallow.
Employees were very cordial, knowledgeable and made you feel welcomed. The food and service was excellent, a must.
They are working on the course and once the conditions have improved I would definitely return to play.
I grabbed a GolfNow tee time so my $44 rate was easy to absorb. Hoping they get it maintained...
Fun course
Great time playing this course, nice pace. Weren’t rushed at all, staff was very friendly and informative. Course was big enough that if you take the scenic route, your able to make up with 3 wood or irons. Only down side was the greens. Tee boxes were decent and fairways were nice. Pricing was great, will definitely be back to play again!
Loved the course and layout staff was great . Off the fairway and greens needs a lot of work ie landscaping
Still Really Like to Play This Course
Great value for the money. A moderately challenging layout which is perfect for a very moderate skill set like ours. I do not understand what all the negative reviews have been about. For a course in the desert in the summer the fairways and tee boxes were in really good shape and most of the greens are improving or hanging in there well. It is true that a few of the greens are still having their challenges but the are trying to make it work without totally rebuilding the greens.
If you're one of those that overrates your putting skill and imperfect greens irk you off then stay away and leave the place to the rest of us that like the place.
We will back for sure!
Lakes Play
Course conditions have not recovered from Covid shutdown and now shows deteriorated natural water flow areas.
Bare spots on all greens have not been corrected and can affect putts and kill chip rollout. Dry locations on fairways are not detrimental to normal play experienced in the hot climate.
Lakes Course
Unfortunately the course is still recovering from fungus that affected every green, and somewhat in the fairways. Loved the course layout, but the greens have not healed enough to recommend
Worst greens ever
I used to play this course a year ago and it was great. What has become of this?? Great layout but terrible conditions, especially greens. To top it off, 18th green was in the middle of the fairway with grass no shorter than the fairway it self! Can't recommend it
This course needs new Greens.
The course was wide open and staff was friendly and welcoming.
I will play this course again, once the greens are repaired. Once the greens are repaired the course will be a fun place to play.
Getting better!
Anyone who has played Primm lately knows about the poor conditions, especially on the greens. There are still patches on every green with no grass, but the rest of the greens are actually coming back strong. The pin locations took advantage of the good parts as much as possible, and with a few exceptions, a good approach shot left you with good grass to put on. There were 4 temporary pins in the fairway just short of the greens, because they are working hard to bring the course back. Generally, the fairways are in really good condition despite a few bare areas.
I'm really happy with the way the staff is trying to bring this course back, it was an enjoyable day.
Temp Greens
The Golf Course is coming along - The Greens are still rough and Slow but they are getting there. They currently have 5 temp greens. The tee boxes and fairways are fantastic, so if you are looking to work on everything but your short game, it is a good place to go. Otherwise, I would wait another month before going to Primm. Also, as an FYI, the staff told me that the Desert Course is still in really rough condition. Sadly, Primm is a no-go for a while. Too bad because it has so much potential, but the Management Company doesn't care about these courses nearly as much as they should.
