can't walk this course
The course is a nice layout with many good holes. However, the bunkers are very course and have many rocks in them. There were many unrepaired ball marks on the greens although the greens were in very good shape. The are long distances between certain greens and the next tee which makes a golf cart mandatory. It would be impossible to walk this course.
Nice course
Great layout. Beautiful course. The most plush course I've played in the area. A little pricy considering there is no GPS on the carts so bring a range finder. Really had fun and would go back.
Nice course!
Somewhat of a challenge for a 1st timer, some blind shots that were frustrating, like trying to find a good layup area, either gotta drive up to see, or just shoot and hope for the best, no gps, and map on scorecard didnt help, yardage markers were on cartpath and sprinkler heads so that waste time trying to figure out, usually doesnt matter to me as long as i can see where im going. Things are really spread out here, range is little drive from clubhouse, then 1st tee is like a half mile from there, most holes have a little drive between, forget using restroom on 1st side, its off the beaten path and your likely to lose your spot on the course, you never go back to clubhouse till 18, so pack a lunch. Pace of play would have been ok except for the typical male testosterone in front of us that insisted on playing from the back tees, the only times he even hit it far enough to reach the fairway, it was crooked anyway. Overall it is a nice course, i may go back as long as deals are good. Only advice would be if your waiting anyway, drive up and see what your shooting at.
Great condition, lush fairways.
If you keep it in the fairway you will shoot great. I managed to rack up 9 penalty strokes off the tee alone. Narrow... the desert is rocky and has many bushes so its tough to play out of. Greens roll true good shape (tons of ball marks, do you part and repair yours + 1 or 2 or 3)
Overall great facility
Have always enjoyed our playing time here. Great facilities and staff.
AN EXCELLENT AND WORTHWHILE CHALLENGE
This course is a wonderful challenge to all golfers. Some fairways are wide enough to un-load on while others might work out better with an iron off the tee. This course required some thought on most shots. Greens were very well cared for.
Arroyo
The course was in good condition. Fairways were well maintained. The greens were a little beat up but not terrible. The price paid on Golfnow makes this course a great value.
Very nice golf course
I am very happy with the golf course the practice range was good pace of play was very good condition was very good
Arroyo
This is a beautiful course in the Western hills above Vegas. Course was in great shape, views were great, but employees were very friendly, helpful and really added to review
Challenging if You're Having Trouble Off the Tee Box
If you're struggling to get off the tee box this course maybe a challenge. Played from the black tees and most of the holes have about 200yds desert/bush. There's some water, but nothing too crazy.
Sand, sand and more sand. When you do get off the tee box well pay attention to where you're aiming. Some of the fairway sand traps come into play based on your distance.
Sand central
Great course, great conditions. More sand traps than any other course in Vegas. Very challenging course.
Stunning Beauty
Fairways and greens were in great shape. Played on a hot day and the cart girl was up to the challenge, she came around 4 times during our round. Most of the holes could be a signature hole they are that gorgeous.
average for las vegas
if you're looking for a slow round of golf weaving in and out around a subdivision with pretty much your views of an expensive house this course would be okay,, nothing stood out to me as "oh this is great",,, to many other options in las vegas, oh and if you want to feel like you're second class, members this way, everybody else that way, would be okay too,,,,,check around good luck
Great views and seanery
The course was in good condition with many arroyos to deal with forcing a lot of course management which enjoyable. The greens were very hard to get the right read we played with a pair that plays there often and they were not much better at reading the greens. Lots of enjoyable driving and views between holes.
Fun yet challenging at times
This course is fun with some challenging holes… The staff and cleanliness is also key…All in all I would return to play for sure!
Classic desert golf course
Arroyo is an upscale place (the Arroyo course is the public side, there is a private 18 as well). Very pretty location to the west of the Strip with rock formations immediately to the west of the course. Classic "desert golf" layout with forced carries off almost every tee to reach something green. That said, from the black tees the carries were fair - if you got the ball in the air you would generally carry to fairway or rough. There is one long carry over water, but it is downwind. Big Greens. Staff was really friendly and it felt that we were getting an "upscale" experience. We did not have to wait at all during our round.
The course is not particularly narrow compared to others I have played in Vegas. However, the desert scrub areas were much harder to find balls in than we would have thought. BIG bunkers around all the greens (which themselves were large).
This course provided a great final location for our three day outing. Golfnow price was considered a good value by all four of us (we played on a Monday).
Arroyo at Red Rock
Great course. You can pick the tees according to your ability. Fun to play. It would have been nice to have hole descriptions for the player playing the course for the first time.
De toute beauté
À jouer absolument à Vegas.
20 minutes du centre ville.
Magnifique terrain bien situé et bordé de propriétés à faire rêver.
Decent course for the money
I have played many courses in Vegas. The greens are quick 11 on stump. Rough is thick. Only downside is if you play later there are a lot of slower golfers that haven't heard of pace of play
Arroyo red rock
Nice place would play again, we did play right after they punched and sanded, greens were still fast. The staff was polite and helpful. We played this course under golf now hotdeal well worth the money pace of play was fabulous four hours.
