Fun time right
I played Hills a couple of weeks ago and wanted to give Lakes a try. It was a fun course. Like Hills, you could hit your driver on almost every par 4 and par 5. I hit my driver a lot better on the Hills course then I did on the Lakes course...but that's another story. A lot of dogleg right holes on Lakes but you need to carry water or hit it straight to get to fairway. Conditions around the greens were not the best and the bunkers were not in the best shape. Greens are large and for the most part easy to read. Both courses get expensive and IMO are not worth the full rake rate, if you get a GolfNow deal or some other deal these are good tracks to play. Prostaff, starter, marshall and cart guys are professional.
check-in was horrible and so was parking
Here’s why I wouldn’t recommend this to anybody number one. You go to check-in and ask him where do I get my car and they said oh you gotta go back and get in your car and drive about a half mile to this and then you check in there. But the parking is pretty far away so you gotta walk a lot when you finally get your car they go in slow motion down to 2 miles an hour in spot so it takes forever to get back to the range. By this time, you don’t have any time to warm up then the second reason is slow play. The front was quick cause we had nobody in front of our foursome, but man, the back was playing about two hours and 50 minutes so I had to quit after whole 16 and then I had to take the super slow drive back to the cart barn.
Beautiful day
Had an amazing time out on the course today!! I can't believe how great in shape to course was today. For March the greens were rolling true and the fairways looked really good. Eat at David's after, the food was so good and the staff was very friendly. All around a perfect day at Red Hawk!
Fun track
I love a course that allows you to hit a driver on all par 4's and 5's. This course does exactly that for me. Course was in good shape. Got a great golf now deal. Course layout from bag drop to 18th hole is a giant maze...
I had trouble on all par 3's...guess my driver was working too well! Enjoy the round. I hear it gets crowded, but not on this day.
Great Afternoon Outting.
The starter was a grumpy old bugger, when I approached and asked how it was going he responded “busy” as if I was bothering him. The young lady on the beverage cart on the other hand was exceptionally gracious and even requested to stay late to make sure she was able to offer us another round on the back nine. Overall it was a nice day and I’ll likely be back.
Always a nice place to play
I will start by saying this is always a nice place to play, maintenance is always good and staff are friendly. That being said, it is about $20 over similar courses to play here so we don't play here as much as other courses. Also the gps on the carts are quite annoying as you have to constantly mess with the screen because there are constant warnings or ads on the screen so you cannot seen the course you are playing unless you clear the ads or pop ups. Other than that it is a great place to golf.
Suprise! massive shotgun start!
When we arrived, there was a men's league tournament, and a massive shot gun start that was NOT mentioned when I booked! Had I known that I would have selected a different tee time. It was backed up, people hitting into us, one group just drove by and played in front of us, causing an even bigger back up! Super frustrating! We also were shuttled from the parking area to the driving range. We couldn't bring our own cart- thus leaving our bags behind. Lame.
Beautiful Course and Scenery
RedHawk is a great course with an inviting atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience that much better. The pace of play is smooth and enjoyable, and the course layout offers a nice mix of shot variety. Several holes are quite challenging, keeping the round exciting for players of all levels. Overall, RedHawk delivers a fun and well-run golfing experience.
This course has an abundance of wster
A bunch of water , many wetlands . Lost a lot of balls . It is a fun course . We got a good deal .
Way overpriced for what you get
Our round took 5 hours and 7 minutes to play. I saw one Marshall and he was just driving around and didn’t do anything to speed things up. The greens were a little torn up, the bunkers were rock hard. The fairways and rough were good. The carts are super annoying and automatically slow down at random. For almost $150 a head this course should have been a home run. Instead it was an overpriced, longgg day on a course only a few notches up from a muni. However I would play again if it was cheaper and the pace was a lot faster because it does have some good views.
